Many people find peace in a myriad of different ways, be it religion, listening to music, expressing themselves through writing, reading or art just to name a few.

With the dawn of a new year, I have, almost without realizing, that I find peace in consistency, and rationality. Maybe that isn't exactly the best way to describe it and it can actually be categorized under one of the aforementioned ways of how people find peace.

Since I have school and that I'am in fact, an Asian, I wake up at around 5.am everyday without fail. It might not always be exactly 5.am, but I will definitely be up by 5:12am. Not that there is anything particular about 5:12am, it's just how my body functions.

I will then go to the bathroom with my phone, while turning on the Wi-Fi. I like to watch/listen to StarCraft commentaries when I brush my teeth and shower. Just this morning I watched HD's cast on the majestic Jaedong and wonderful FlaSh. Whenever my subscribed channels don't produce any new content, I'll just head on to Husky's channel and re-watch one of his previous casts because his enthusiasm sets me in the mood for the day. After getting dressed up (School uniform neat and tidy, Student Councillor Badge parallel to the ground as well.) I'll go back to my room and get ready my things that I'll be using for the day - School bag, stationary, other school related things, and my iPod, Earphones and Phone. My Rockbox'ed iPod will go into a purple velvet pouch and then into my right pocket while my phone and earphones will go into my left pocket. All this time, I will still be listening to StarCraft.

Oh, I'll be holding on to my wallet with my right hand, and when I have to stand somewhere I will fold my arms while still holding on to my wallet with my right hand in a way that makes my wallet peek out from underneath my crossed arms.

I don't usually eat breakfast. I will just drink 2 glasses of ice cold water to get rid of the post-brushing of teeth feeling. I will then sit on the couch; the left side of the 2 seat couch, and put on my socks on shoes. After all that, I'll leave the house. I have also realized that I think to myself rather often the following sentence after walking out of the house : "Best foot forward, young sir, the world awaits!" I don't recall where I got that sentence from, but I feel that it's a good thought to begin the day with.

At the bus stop (Get there by walking briskly with my left hand in my pocket and my right arm swinging, I have no idea how I look - probably ridiculous.), I will turn on my iPod and put on my Etymotic HF5's. Depending on what I feel like and whatever the unprecise iPod scrolling wheel brings me closer to, I will either listen to Queen ( Who Wants to Live Forever is the most common choice. ) or Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto in D with Itzshack Perlman being the soloist.+ Show Spoiler +
I'am aware that the link sends you to the finale of a French movie and it does not start the piece from the beginning, but it starts at a reasonable time and still captures the beauty of the piece. The other recordings of it on YouTube are atrocious anyway - in terms of sound quality of course.
.

On the bus ride to school I would either sit/stand and just think. There is something enchanting about drowning yourself in music, watching the passing scenery blur past and thinking. Thinking about that girl, how awesome it would be if I composed the current piece of music I was currently listening to at that moment, and my aspirations are just some of the things that I think of.

I would like to skip forward a bit and just talk about school in general. I think that it's awesome that I recently developed a passion to just listen to the teacher and try to absorb anything that is being taught. I wasn't one to pay attention to lessons before. I just suddenly learned to focus I think.

When coming back from school I would listen to Tchaikovsky again! I simply adore Tchaikovsky. Speaking of Tchaikovsky, I would like to share a little something about Tchaikovsky I found on DeviantArt.

How deeply I love this work
of Tchaikovsky’s. How mellifluously
he taught an orchestra to sing
the song of his complicated destiny.

No one has ever schooled string players
so deeply in the language of yearning,
so completely in the inevitability of loss.
He needs no programme. He brings
ecstasy to the expression of his
tumultuous, impossible needs.

The violas and the cellos,
the basses and the muted violins.
In simple melodies and lilting rhythms
they allow his troubled complexity
a freedom that in life he could never know.

Getting back on track, I will listen to Tchaikovsky's works played by none other than the Bolshoi! I'am currently obsessing over a live recording of the Nutcracker Suite. Recently, I have uploaded the piece "Waltz of the Flower" on my YouTube channel. (I apologise for the self-plug.)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ez_g9S5CvnI

I don't think there is much to talk about when I get back at home. I'll have lunch and browse TL. Homework comes after dinner. I have also just started listening to Pink Floyd. I will probably listen to "The Dark Side of the Moon" tomorrow on the trip to school. I will probably be thinking about the melodic tunes of Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto and the beautiful scratching of the Stradivarius by Perlman though, so I'm not sure about that.

I think I'm done with this blog for I have been going on for quite awhile. Probably have gone out of point as well, darn it. Anyway, one final note to you wonderful TeamLiquid blog readers - if you find what I have written amusing, you can follow my tumblr that I have recently started in hopes of getting my thoughts more organized through posts or other blogs like this at An Onery Owl. Not saying that I'll stop making blogs on Team Liquid to clog up the place though.

I hope that you have enjoyed reading my blog!

ease up on the OCD a bit bro!

do you not have any problems in your daily life or did you just not include the "after going down the stairs and hearing the usual "WHY HAVE YOU STILL NOT TAKEN THE TRASH OUT?? I TOLD YOU YESTERDAY!!" rant by your mom or something like that? ;p

Hehe OCD...

Eh, no, not really. I don't really take out the trash because over here we have a rubbish chute where we just throw things down (in plastic bags of course). My family is also usually really quiet and we just go about minding our own business most of the time.

Ah well my mom is a pretty interesting person to me. I mean, we don't even maintain a relationship and she barely talks to me at all. I'm much closer to my dad. My mom usually just comes home from work and bark at either me or my dad to turn on the television for her and that's about it.

dark side of the moon by pink floyd is pretty good, listened live (roger waters), and i have to say the best recording is in a vinilo, it sounds like they were playing in the room .

There's nothing wrong with a routine, it helps many people deal run on "autopilot" and ignore the monotony of life.

But I'm wondering, when do you play games? When do you hand out with your friends? It sounds to me like your whole life is school, watching SC, and listening to music; surely you must find time for some fun??
I like the way the walls go out. Gives you an open feeling. Firefly's a good design. People don't appreciate the substance of things. Objects in space. People miss out on what's solid.

How come? You have to make time to enjoy life! Do you play any other games?

I haven't played any games since the release of SC2, it may seem weird but its cool with me. Don't worry, I have plenty of fun listening to music, copying out great essays, and browsing tl!
