If you ever read my first blog post, then you know who I am. I am a fellow Starcraft player just like you. And today was my first day ever owning a SC2 account and playing on it.
Now, before I begin, I will talk about my experience. I played Starcraft Broodwar, but I was horrible at it. I have played Starcraft 2 before at a friends house, but I never won.
Today I received SC2, and I was ready for action. I played two 3v3s which I won, thanks to a my friends. One was a mono battle. I then played 1v1s with them. I played Joraiem first, and I won to my surprise. I beat my rival. I was happy. I then proceeded to lose to Fluffy.
I played my placement matches and went 1-4. I played two gold, one silver, a high bronze, and a low bronze. I beat the low bronze. Three of these matches were ZvZ, my worst matchup. It came down to a base race against one of the gold players, the zerg, but I ultimately lost because he had +2 attack and I had +1 attack. Much to my surprise I was placed into Silver!!
This is an amazing day.

haha i thought you were looking to set a milestone or something for the future so if you became famous you could look back and say oh! this was my first day of SC2! or maybe for an avid fan looking for more info about you

If you want practice pm me your id, i was gold / plat last season but i havent played my placement matches for season 4 yet (i play 1 or 2 games a week)

Hearing the enthusiasm of new players is really encouraging. I totally second that sentiment about whiny masters. People need to stop being so fucken damn bitter and just enjoy the game like you.
Btw, how do you vote 5/5 on a blog? Sorry I am newb to TL.

Haha, I completely agree, I remember I worked my way up from high silver to mid diamond right now actually, and tbh I think I liked the manner silvers better than the whiny "oh my god tvp is impossible" mid diamonds and high plats.

Its rough. I got placed into a division rank of 99. I won a game luckily after losing 2 or 3 to get me placed into 48. :D
