nekrilia Germany2 Posts December 12 2011 17:03 GMT #1 Hey, I'm nekrilia#831 and I play in the Bronze league on the NA server. RTS games are a new hobby for me, but I enjoy learning and improving. This blog is going to probably bore all of its readers except for me, though if you have some input, or anything at all, please I want to hear it. That being said, I'll be posting my replays and games with some of my thoughts on them for review at a later date. In these comments I'll note when I started to feel like I was losing the game, and other, appropriate thoughts. My goal is to play and post 10-15 games a day with some review, if I find this too much, I might cut this down.

There are far more important thing to worry about; you're not going to go pro; you're not going to make a living doing this. Play as much as you feel like, and no more.

MLG_Wiggin United States767 Posts December 12 2011 19:31 GMT #4 You'll probably see a lot of feedback like "just work on your macro" from other people. It might not seem like the best advice, but don't be discouraged. It actually is the best advice. You can survive a complete lack of build orders/metagame knowledge almost all the way into masters as long as you have solid macro (that is, constantly building workers, not being supplyblocked, and being able to spend your money as it comes in). That isn't to say ignore completely having a solid build order. My advice on improving is this; take one basic build order for each match up and use it solely. Refine your macro based around that build order, and work on small things one at a time. Keep supply blocking yourself at 26? Next game make sure to remember to get that pylon on time. Chill Calgary25963 Posts December 12 2011 20:18 GMT #5 Cool Welcome to TL. When people make ambitious goals like these, they're often hard to keep. The fact that you even wrote 10-15 instead of definitive number supports that. I'd suggest you set the bar at 5 games and ensure you always do that - any more would be a bonus.
