Today I decided to put together an orchestral medley of some of the songs from the game, while trying to sort of maintain a narrative throughout that is consistent with the game's story. Elektrobear 108 Posts November 28 2011 02:55 GMT #3 One note on the original, it's fun but extremely challenging due to bad design in spots. It's inspired by games like cave story and megaman. The latter game is much more exploration focused and designed in a metroidvania style. It's also much easier.

ClysmiC United States2192 Posts November 28 2011 03:01 GMT #4 I can already see the Cave Story inspiration in the first one. And I don't mind challenging games, but if it is from game design like you said, and not intentionally challenging, that kinda annoys me. Also, the music is awesome

Elektrobear 108 Posts November 28 2011 03:07 GMT #5 I'd suggest playing the first one because it's fun at times, but when it gets frustratingly hard you should imo just stop playing. The second game is still enjoyable story wise without having played the first one.
