Yes, i`m so inconsistent! One day i can compete vs masters and another i can barely win from platinums...
|
Today is one of those days for me and I was doing so well yesterday too
|
Yeah its been same for me, past 2 days I just dont seem to be doing that great. I guess its all about taking that extra time to just step away from it and see if you cant find something else to do for a bit. I was doing alright for a bit, but now its coming back so i dont want to keep playing if i dont feel like i'm playing to improve.

totally happens. The first day I got promoted to diamond? I played 4 favored diamond and they just cheesed me straight up.
Then I finally got one who is a slightly favored opponent and went to a macro game, but I just kept on making stupid mistakes because I was so upset about previous games (even got supply blocked at like 20 supply)
From that day, I stopped laddering. (mostly because of the exams through, not that I am totally giving up sc2 lol)

haha yeah exams sucks, so totally understandable to stop playing for a bit, iv just hit a rut and its tough getting back into that gamer mentality I used to have. Since i am not playing sc2, iv actually got shit done today like cleaning the house, my god that was long overdue! ahaha!

I was just thinking about this - even just days where the game is more interesting, when I suck I just don't want to keep at the grind but when I at least put up a fight I'll stick it out even if I keep losing.
It's totally a mindset thing.

Play! Train! No excuses!
Also, I am SC starved, since my gaming PC is being serviced, so be grateful that you can enjoy the game.
But in all seriousness, getting consistent results (i.e.: improving precision) is more beneficial to the learning experience than irregular streaks of good performance (i.e.: occasional leaps of accuracy). It's better to play worse consistently than to play at your best rarely, since you are only as good as your average performance. You are looking to improve your norm, not deviations from it.

Thanks for all the love and support guys! I am feeling much better mentally, and hopefully my game gets back on track today, I know droning is a huge problem of mine, and its something I want to work on but in game I never seem to be focusing on it, and I should be. I will be practicing a lot and hopefully with time and practice it will come naturally.
