Yes, that's right. That's what I look like in yellow, and yes I've started working on the koreans.
So yeah, I got me a book. I be studying book in spare time. Watch vid. Harass me for my poor voice. It's all good. Knives:
I went to reddit.com/r/knives Then I looked at spyderco knives... I had a pocketknife, then my mom accidentally got it confiscated in airport security. Then I looked at vairous other brands... then I realized I had two kukris.
Oh yeah, manly WWII era kukris.
So yeah, I'm looking at spyderco delica vs persistence. To spend 60 bucks on a knife, to not spend 60 bucks on a knife. To get victorionox? Man, so many choices.
What are your guys' thoughts on good EDC knives? There have been many times during the summer where one would have been useful, but I didn't have one.
Parents Parents have been angry lately. I've countered by being efficient, ignoring them, and just hunkering down for a year. no complaining for me.
Also for some reason my mom was like "herm, maybe he DOESN'T need to do engineering. So that's good news
For some reason I always thought you were asian lol. Always weird when you see people you've only percieved through text before...you look younger than I thought you would as well for some reason, prolly cause you come off sounding older when you type.
Your video is kinda quiet in general for some reason, just for reference in the future.
As for the Korean support thing sounds good. I'm learning through college classes so I'm not as alone/in need of help as some people out there but if it gets going I might check it out or something.
Also knives are badass but on my current budget (read, almost nothing) I can't see myself buying one, especially since I don't really need one at this point.
Mother of god I need to reread all of your blogs again.
Also I think this vlog series is a good idea, I remember quickstriker was going to do a weekly streamed show or something but it never took off (miss u QS ..)
I think they all thought you were asian because you have all these crazy parent issues.
BUT I COULD TELL. white people radar :DDD
anyways, i think the vlog idea is good...its a good way to motivate yourself to produce content and study. and hey, it might be helpful! i'll def tune in, maybe i can learn some korean so if i take korean in college i dont have to start at level 1 @_@...unlikely though tbh
Nice kukris ! I also love knives, and if you have a little budget, I recommend you to buy knives from the Sanrenmu (三刃木) brand. These are high-end EDC knives from China. I got a dozen here, they have a great design, incredibly sharp (when it's new I used one to shave for fun and it worked great), and a great edge retention (blade steel is 8Cr13MoV, great chinese steel) get them for 6$ in China, but you could get some imported for less than 20$. Just get one with a metal handle, because the plastic ones are not that good. Some 60$ Spyderco knives are made in the same factory.
Good initiative. Just so you know, it's going to be fucking hard though I think I've been learning for... 3 years now? And I'm fucking useless at it haha.
Everyone's EDC is a bit different. If it's purely for utility, I like the Kershaw Leek with serrations because its small and has assisted opening. It's also a lot cheaper than 60 dollars.
If you want other options for spending your money, the Benchmade Griptillian is mentioned a lot as a good EDC knife, and is around the same price point as the ones you pointed out in your blog.
Well, 53 for delica actually. Right now I"m weighing cerrationless leek vs delica vs persistence. Persistence is around 30, as is leek. Delica is more, but I think is a little better steel and closer to what I want.
I've gone to some meetups for different websites/interest groups. Everyone is always surprised I'm as young as I am, even more surprised what I look like, and most surprised I'm write.
