I'm sure I'm not the only one that searches TL forums before considering any gaming paraphernalia purchases. I didn't find much on this headset, so I went ahead and bought them from the local Best Buy. (Shipping is such a pain where I live now).
Anyways, definitely not worth it. I'm not much of an audio sound quality freak, but god these were awful. With two kids I go through headsets a lot. I've owned a pair of Turtle Beach, multiple Logitechs and then these.
I returned them after a few days. I've never been a fan of Razer products, and after trying these, I probably never will be.
tldr; if you're planning on buying these, don't.

Here is my tip: Don't buy anything from Razer except mice (and maybe mousepads, I bought a mousepad, payed way too much for it but its pretty good)

Hmm, interesting. I know a lot of people satisfied with them (including my brother).
Anything other than audio quality that bothered you? My brother is a musician, so he does have a bit of an ear for audio quality, and he's never complained.

I enjoy my Carcharias headset. The sound quality is pretty decent, they are very comfortable, and the mic works well. They aren't really high-end but I'd buy them again...

Mine hasn't been something particularly satisfying. The left-right is only balanced at certain audio levels (which are always a little bit too loud or way too soft), it isn't soundproof at all, and the mic just stopped working after a month or two. I mean, it's ridiculously comfortable, but that's about the only thing going for it.

I personally love em. Really comfortable never had any problems with them. I've went through two turtle beach head sets before trying this and finding it better. Maybe get another one if that one was defective? I don't know what else to say, but I really love em.

Yeah but be honest, if you didn't like them, you would never say that. I am personally looking for a new headset, going to give the steelseries siberia v2's a shot and maybe these before I decide on le purchasing.

I really like mine as well, and like the sound quality. Buy black tie on them from Best Buy, though. They won't last you too long, like a lot of Razer products.

I've had mine for about 2-3 months now and I'm satisfied with them. Next time though I'm definitely going to get a higher quality pair of headphones and not a headset because I don't really need a gaming headset. I don't really talk to people besides my friend on skype once in a while so...

I gotta recommend Plantronics headsets. I don't remember the exact one I have, but it's one of the ones the with (essentially) a sound card built in. It sounds really nice, and the mic is awesome too. When I'm chatting with people they always say it sounds better than real life lol
It's not super cheap but probably not more than the headsets we're talking about here.
Oh and it's lasted for 6 years now with no issues so totally worth it.

I'm using a pair now. I love them so much because they are so comfy and the sound quality is totally great. I went out and bought the Orca headphones because I wanted to bring that comfort at school or somewhere where I don't need the mic.

I have found it more money-conscious to get a very good pair of headphones [Sennheisers, Audio Technica etc.] rather than go for 'Gamer' stuff. You can always buy a microphone for under 20 dollars on top of it that will sound just as good as any boom mic from a gamer headset.
For example something like the Audio Technica AD700's are only 10-15 dollars more than the Steelseries Siberia V2, and the quality is much, much better.

sheth sold me on these headphones. Will for sure buy them. Since him and I both share having big heads I think I will no longer have to use my plantronics gamecom 365's which my giant head broke one of the earmuff things off (the mic side) they are kept together by scotch tape but very uncomfortable to wear.

I have a pair and I love them. the mikes really good its comforable and it looks a lot better then the SS ones.
Razer makes the best mice by far thats not hard to argue. keyboards are based on your keycap likeing not the company really.
