So I have been contemplating lately about gradually losing the ruffian look.
First things first Should I get rid of the soul patch, I'm thinking yes. but I'll let you guys decide...
Also should I totally shave the beard and stache. Keep the beard, keep the stache? Lose it all?
Hopefully some of the females will post in here and let me know, but any and all feedback would be appreciated.
I guess I'll do a poll as well but also post what you think.

Sweet stache! I'd keep the stache and lose the beard and soul patch. A stache can be glassy but it is very hard for a young man to have a beard and be classy.
You could actually probably keep the soul patch too, just trim it well.

Well just got rid of the Soul Patch which was the easiest thing to get rid of, as it's not SO noticeable and was already on my mind. Plus the poll seems pretty unanimous. I feel like I already gained like .5 on the looks scale from just that!

I understand that this might not help, but I can't help but notice that your name is "rel."
From my extensive time spent listening to Doctor Who radio plays, I can inform you that the "rel" is the dalek unit of both time and distance.
These only ever crop up in different episodes, so it might be a total mistake. Conversely, since the daleks are a race of time travelers, it seems reasonable that they might consider movement through time in terms of distance...
Who knows.

You don't actually look like a ruffian, lol. Your facial shape is complemented by your hair to give you a softer look. I don't think you need to shave anything. However, I don't think it would particularly hurt either, so if you feel like it, go for it.
Since you are particularly looking for a female opinion-- yes I am a woman.

Well I was in the military and had the hair shaved... I looked like I had cancer, so I will never do that again. Hmm... so many decisions. I am liking the no soul patch though..

Well, first of all, the only opinion that should matter on how you look should be yours (and perhaps that of a possible partner in crime you have) and not that of other people. That being said, you most likely already know that and still have put this blog down, so saying this all is rather pointless on my side I guess...... (I hate retyping my posts or parts of it, so hence this silly conclusion which you should just really ignore. >.<)
Anyways, my opinion on this would be....
Losing the soul patch first and foremost, which you already seem to have done, so good choice on that. It didn't suit you in any way, nor your beard or mustache, so I think you'r better off without one.
Other then that I would suggest to lose the mustach completely as well. It isn't that it's plain bad looking in my eyes, but my first impression when I saw your pictures was that the mustache just didn't quite fit with your overal facial appearence even though your mustache fits your beard pretty nicely. But for overal look (taken your whole face in picture), it would do you more good to lose the mustache completely.
As for your beard, you can keep it or lose it, I can't really tell what would look better. But the beard fits you just fine as it's now, so there's no real reason I can put forth to lose it in my eyes. Just keep it to this length would be my advice or around this length at least.
Same goes for your hair, it looks good just the way it's now (last picture), nothing else I can say about it really. So yeah, that's pretty much it I guess, lose the mustache and keep the rest as it's.
Do note that while this advice comes from a girl (not that such a thing should matter I think, but you prefer theirs above a guy it seems ^ ^), I got a horrible sense of fashion and looks (even more so when it comes to guys). So yeah, that might just make my opinion completely invalid in this matter. ;p.

So here is what I plan to stick with for a good while. I lost the soul patch. I bought a trimmer which I had never used. I used to use Scissors because I'm a cheap bastard. But anyways...
Used the trimmer and beard-guard on both the beard and mustache, on medium guard setting. Think I'll chill with this for a bit...
(I don't really mind all the hair really, but I am a fan of change.. But it will probably all be back at some point. There is some girlish influence in all of this but I'm not expanding this into a girl blog, sorry!)
