I IM'd this story to my friend (it just happened), and he said I should blog it. So here is a short blog for you guys to enjoy.
Background: I am in my school's National Honor Society. The club required 10 community service hours and 5 school service hours per semester. Also, Chemistry is my last class of the day.
Okay, I needed 30 minutes of service hours for National Honors Society for this semester. At the end of class today, my chemistry teacher asked, "Anyone wanna help prepare for tomorrow's lab for school hours?" I said yeah, and she told me that it would take an hour. I'm thinking, "Well this sucks, but whatever, I'll find some way to make it go faster...and I can't really back out now." She needed me to wash these mini trays with 24 holes in them.
It is the one with 24 holes in it.
So she said to take this pipe brush and clean each little hole with soap & water then rinse it really well. So I clean one tray and rinse it...I look at the other 25 trays and thought, "This will take too fucking long."
But then I remembered that I am a Starcraft player. So I set up my infrastructure. 6 trays filled with soap & water lined up in the sink. I took a 7th tray and cleaned it really quickly. Then with my left hand, I would rinse the tray, and with my right hand, I cleaned the trays lined up in the sink. It lined up perfectly too! When I was done cleaning a tray with the pipebrush, the other tray would be completely free of suds and stuff. Finished in 30 minutes...awww yeah.

Nice macro and multitasking. What a sick baller. How was your pipe cleaner micro?

That's awesome it's always great when you can relate something from starcraft to real life.

This made me giggle. Once in jr high I was ordered to write 50 sentences with something like "I will not..." and I wrote one solid line down the pages after counting the lines to get to fifty, same with the "t"s straight line down the page then dash dash dash etc.
Yours is for honors, mine wasn't. FML

Watch the replay and check your APM, I think you made some progress.

Isn't this a run-out-the-clock type of situation? Speed shouldnt be your priority!

If I would've did it in less than 30 minutes, I'm sure she'd find something else for me to do...and the multitasking made it more fun lol

The competition in tray-cleaning thus far has been a farce.

Next time put on korean commentators voila 15 min tray cleaning. You will revolutionize the metagame of trays.

If you were a common Starcraft player you'd have said "fu gg lol" and stormed out.

Interesting building placement strategy, i'd be worried about early pressure though, doesn't it leave key structures quite exposed to splash damage?

So your chem teacher is hot huh?

Black circle = drain Red circle = trays Blue Box = Splash area.
the faucet was unusually short in comparison to the sink
