So, this is my first thread on TL. I've never felt a burning desire to initiate conversation before and do not want to make a waste of time thread. That out of the way, here is my blog.

Any fan of sc2 knows about the Korean terran domination, both at home and in the foreign community when we're lucky enough to see them play. Well, as a spectator I call it lucky but as a competitor I would say fuck my life I'm going home early since I get MVP round1. Cya guys next year.

I recently received a Korean account for sc2. The account was in gold league with a fairly static MMR (60ish games played). I easily won the first 20 or so games, going 20-3 in the process. Couple losses to rushes. No big deal.

Fast forward 30 games. The account is now diamond league. I am still winning 100% of PvZ. The zerg opponents do not play poorly but their macro slips up a bit and if their initial attack fails they crumble to dt harass at multiple bases.

PvP can be a bit more difficult than expected because the lag from NA => KOR while not terrible can be disadvantageous in blink wars. I feel forced into colossus or four gating. No big deal, four gate rolls over most opponents in diamond on the Korean ladder, even as most are four gating themselves.

PvT on the other hand. P vee mother fucking aggro I will not expand until you're fucking dead T.

My god. When I get the loading screen and the little terran icon laughing in my face I just try to think which one base attack my opponent will do this time. I've seen so many different strange attacks from typical 1/1/1 to marine/tank drop in the main with marauders hitting the front. Mind you this on one base. 3 rax into planetary at their natural as they're wiping my expansions off the map.

Drops, drops, drops. In high master's on NA I may see one or two drops a game. Here I'm seeing entire armies ferried into my main with an 8 marine drop at the natural to pick off stray workers. The constant harass puts me on edge and keeps me on my toes. Overall my game play is being elevated by playing these aggressive sons of bitches. Hopefully my PvT improves and I find consistent builds to hold off and come out ahead against all of this aggression.

I'll start saving some replays and upload them if anyone's interested. I'll be streaming a lot of the leveling up of the korean account, late evenings NA/afternoons EU.

Thanks for reading my first blog. Maybe I should have broken up this wall of text with some angry terran images.

I just started playing on the KR/TW server (I'm Terran btw). I'm mostly facing high Diamond players, I don't think the Terrans are really that special as most can't really defend a well executed cloak banshee opener. (High masters on NA for reference). Played about 20-25 games so far (all last night in fact =D).

The protoss I've played so far are really cheesy though. And if they try to FE, it's always very suboptimal.

Terrans so easily lend them to cheese and 1base aggression vP and vZ and Koreans seem more inclined to cheese hence you're seeing more of it on the KR/TW server.

Defenitely, I can win games by going 1base colossus every game no problem. Against good opponents they'll orbital in base while attacking or defending and get so far ahead economically I'm doomed. These guys are not that good.

It's a hell of a lot more fun working on crushing the builds with an expansion.

Couldn't you just open 2gate robo though and if your first observer scouts a heavy 1 base and/or all-in, just cancel the nexus and put down your 3rd gate and robo bay. Assuming its not a well executed 1-1-1 (which really has no good counter lol, imbaaaaa), I think this is a good opening vs diamond, low masters T on KR.

It's not optimal but at worst you'll be slightly behind (since you lost 100 minerals canceling the nexus and Terran 1Base > Protoss 1Base) and at best you'll be even; in both cases you would be relatively safe.

Yeah definitely but seeing what can win is much more beneficial. I know one base colossus can crush any committed all-in if they attack.

I played a game earlier where the terran went one marine tech lab and I scouted it. A reaper showed up as I dropped my stargate. I thought the terran player would be one rax expanding at this point but little did I know....1/1 =/ 1/1/1. Two naked rax and a tech lab rax and one factory making tanks. Oh the options of the terran one base attacks.

Hey MVP did a similar build (2reactor rax + fact for marine tank, designed to kill 2gas 1gate FE).

I don't think you can hold a marine tank (no air, maybe medivac) without colossus with range. Funnily enough 1base colossi can roll marine tank but not marine tank banshee lol.

Ah yes those korean terrans can do some of the sickest things.

Last night I had a 33 minute game vs a terran and I mean vs any terrans I play on Na server in the situation I was in I normally win with that final attack. This guy somehow just held on by the skin of his teeth and made a 20 minute game go another 13 minutes into where I seriously thought I might lose during that after I thought I had him beat.

Just reminds me to NEVER no matter how big of a lead I have count korean terrans out as they have also had some sick comebacks vs me because I got a little to cocky (although that was awhile ago now of days I normally don't think I have a game 100% vs a korean ever ). They do crazy things to come back sometimes that I don't face on NA/EU :D.

But yeah keep playing, zvt used to be imo really bad due to lack of zvt players I would play on NA, played on korea for a month and I feel zvt is now my strongest match up :D
When I think of something else, something will go here
