So, This Video is of Me wayyyy Back a few months ago, i originally posted this Video on Facebook and esea.net . It got Pretty Popular, was put in an article actually from the original P90X website.. like a newsletter.. and it got spread around my school.
Well, I was a skinny guy, and basically i picked up P90X because a Navy SEAL told me to do so (oh yeah, I want to be a Navy SEAL, getting my contract soon too, but back on subject, i met him at the recruiting station.) and i started it, Got all of diet needs known about, and got all the equipment i needed and instead of playing Counter Strike all day (as i was) I took an hour and a half out of my day to do p90x instead.
I'm posting this here cause i'm sure there are plenty of skinny guys who neglect to work out because they feel they will get nowhere.

also, please note that I am still doing P90X also now in accordance with Layne Norton's PHAT routine from simplyshredded.com

Please i hope you enjoy, and i really hope i inspire some people to Get off the computer once in a while and get to being fit because to be 100% honest with all of you. I feel way better at school, in life and at home because my lifestyle has changed to be revolved around not only video games and schooling, but now being Fit and Fitness in general. Its become part of my life.

+ Show Spoiler +

Once again, U can troll, laugh whatever you want but i know that im fit and such and such now and im happy

Good job man.

Nice op! Glad to see you sticked with it! P90X is a really intense 1 hour a day workout program, apparently their workout sort of confuses your body and muscles somehow or something like that yeah it sounds vague but someone probably knows what I'm talking about and would care to explain it better. I tried it for the first time, and let me tell you I'm really unfit and I got sore for about 1.5 weeks T____T. The workout although short only 1 hour it's fucking hard and recommending this to people might be a bad idea because of how hard it is but even though you might not do all of it and keep up with them you should still try to do it so you can eventually adapt to it and then do the full 1 hour workout.

Yeah you don't need much equipment other than dumbells and one of those door bar things to do some pullups. First day from what I remember is working on chest and back, arms then legs then some some sort of martial arts thing, it's a lot of cardio~ damn all this is so vague in my head.

im not recommending this program really.. im more of saying do something rather than play games all day maybe workout I honestly found P90X easier as it went along through commitment.. i mean when i started my mindset was im gonna do this no matter what.. if i barf then so be it you know?
and regarding this muscle confusion.. i really think its just a simple way of saying.. sticking with one workout wont help your body rather than sticking with a set of workouts and rotating them in and out so that your body doesn't get used to the same motions all the time. U dont actualyl confuse your muscles... you just chan ge how they work.

Oh yeah, I'm just saying if anyone wants to try, they should be prepared to how difficult it is, but then again if you're active with any sort of physical activity you should be fine doing this. It's actually really really fun to do it and it's so short 1 hour damn you get such a nice workout and you only get to rest like every 10 minutes for about 30 seconds or so.

Nicely done. Keep it up.

Ever heard of/think of trying Insanity or Asylum? My girlfriend has done all three and is now on a p90x/insanity hybrid program. Works wonders for her.

Anyways, GJ and GL ^^;;;;;

Haha yeah I did it for about 2 weeks or so then I pussed out, and I've been meaning to do it again but it's sooooo hot and the ac doesn't work well in my room T_T. I haven't done insanity but I saw a youtube video of a guy doing the test workout, and holy shit waaaay more intense cardio than P90X. I'm not sure if it's always like that, but that test seems fun. Anyway, keep at it yo it's pretty great how working out can easily make you that much happier and it's great that it's working out for you ^_^

Oh and check out this person
her videos are VERY ridiculous but you should have fun and test yourself with this haha.

Great results :D I personally found that some of the motions in P90X were a little lacking (mainly the ones in the cardio set with the punch punch kick thing) and some of the others hurt my hip because of the angle i had to hold my legs.

Have you considered giving crossfit sets a try? They're just a really high intensity superset aimed at increasing overall body fitness and strength. A set that i was doing last week was: "100m dash with 45lbs plate. Hold plate over head and do 10 squats. Put plate down, 10 burpees. 200m dash (back to starting point and then back to plate)" 10 sets of that with no rest time in between.

Its a pretty different feel from the P90X program and really gets your heart pumping hard.

Did you change your diet while you were on P90X? What were your starting and ending body weights?

Congrats on the lifestyle change btw!

I have actually heard of ccross fit. i wanted to try it aswell and hopefully il get to it . I also found the kenpo X aka the punching kicking stuff lacking in some ways too it was fairfly easy with my past history of martial arts.

My starting weight set was 20 lbs. my ending was 35.

Yo, i'm starting the p90x in 14 days (gonna go on a trip with friends and it would be weird to do those trainings there). I'm shitting my pants right now, because i saw the first session (arms, back, something)...and it looks absolutely disgusting :D So it's nice to see a fellow nerd with great results.

In the end, did you end up following their nutrition plan? And did you use any of the supplements they sell? Recovery drink and those protein bars? Because it's hard to get them in Czech Republic. I guess i could use some other gainer and protein bars, though.

nope i never used any of the supplements. any other supplement is just as good.. the nutrition plan is not a need to be followed thing.. the nuitrition guide is mainly a guide... make up your own meals and make sure theyre healthy!

Nice gains

If you want to be a Navy SEAL you shouldn't focus too much on Bodybuilding, Yes, they're usually pretty muscular, but Special Forces are different kind of fit from the typical gym fit. There are a myriad of workup PT programs out there, and one of the gym teachers from my school (Canadian military college) has a sight pretty much devoted to that type of thing:

While I'm not the biggest fan of the Crossfit mentality (Cultfit..) this sort of thing will help you, especially in developing the mental toughness that you will NEED for any sort of SOF selection.

Also, practicing taking cold showers. Get used to it for as long as you can before BUD/S :p

I'm going to be honest, I wasn't paying attention to her actual work out, my mind was other places...Like her body.

Also congrats on your progress. I used to be a fanatic about p90x. I've since stopped working out but it made me feel awesome every time I finished a 90 day cycle.
