Right, so i make some musics and stuff, but im also a journalist and writing is what i do for a living. Ive recently managed to convince my boss that it might be a fun and potentially usefull idea to scrap taking notes on paper and converting to iPads instead (since i played around with one of my friends iPads this summer and thought it was pretty fun, yet insanelly practical if i can get it to work the way we want it to).
I have ordered in one to the editorial office as a 'prototype' and i need some one with some app experience to point me in the right directions as to what writing app we might find useful.
Basically we need something that works just like a paper pad, where you can take free notes with a electronical pen (we will buy those separatelly). It pretty much cant have ANY lag and preferabelly no other stupid functions cluttering up the screen. If possible id like it to swich to a new blank page with a simple swipe on the screen.
I will be recieving the pad in like 2 weeks so i wont be able to physically try out any suggestions yet, but i still appreciate any tips you got.
We will be using this app as a professional tool and aslong as it works exactly the way we want it, we are prepared to pay up to 10-15 euro for an app like this. Might be an idea if there is any aspireing app creators out there, because i dont think i am the only journalist in the world thinking like this, and possibly being prepared to do such an investment.
Unless someone already made an app exactly like this ofcourse.
Ps. Dont start a debate on what brand is better than the other. I have nothing special either against or for apple, but i totally dispise anything that has to do with iTunes (and i will have to get that anyway now....) BUT, we WILL be getting iPads (if we are gettign them) even if this thread ends up proving the world will melt away in an acid raid because of it.
Looking forward to any input!
TLDR: Please find me a flawless writing app which has all the features in the text I bolded above and preferabelly no other features at all!

Of course i know that they exist, i am looking for personal recommendations. If this was not 157.000 % obvious in the OP, then i'm sorry bro.
|
Was absolutely -5% obvious. :D
EDIT: To clarify, you seem to suggest you have no experience with Apple apps, never give any hint that you may have even tried to look for other apps and found them to not meet your needs, and your tl;dr is basically: find me an app! (and because you didn't give any hint that you even tried to find something yourself it sounds a bit petulant, lol)
If you've somehow found these apps cannot meet your needs, gl finding one.

i googled around a bit in the store and i checked the ones you linked out aswell, its just that the descriptions and reviews arent very detailed as to what the apps do. Basically it sounds like all these apps are just made for fun and games and to be able to doodle a bit when youre bored and that just isnt good enough. I am looking to use this at a 100% professional level and i need detailed descriptions about how the apps work.
To clarify, i know there are apps that does somewhat what im looking for, but i need someone with experience of using said apps to give me more detailed descriptions of them than the fairly poor sales informations and reviews give.
sorry for the previous attitude but i guess we are even now :p
Edit: point is i dont want to sit there and spend alot of unneccesary money on apps that arent able to perform very seriously
