Alright so if any of you visit the Electronic Dance Music thread you probably know that I love trance music. So I thought that I would share with you my top 20 trance tracks of the first half of 2011. So far 2011 has been a good year for trance. With many great producers releasing albums this year such as, Above & Beyond, Orjan Nilsen, Richard Durand, Allure, Dakota, John O'Callaghan. I originally had decided to make this a top 10 but when I was going through my collection of 2011 tracks I decided on making it a top 20. So here are my top 20 trance tracks of the first half of 2011.

Andain - Promises has to be my favourite so far from this year. I've listened to that song sooo many times.

Sun & Moon and Rebound were dropped sooooo many times at EDC.

Songs are so fucking amazing <3

Mat Zo and Arty are so ridiculously good.

I love all of these songs and I really appreciate this blog. As of right now I'm listening to the Above & Beyond Essential Mix on BBC Radio 1 and it's making me realize how much I've come around to appreciate trance music.

Mat Zo and Arty are so amazing btw! They're also quite young fellows and have an amazing future ahead of them.

I totally disagree with the top 10 or so...but each to their own. Harmony isn't trance too.

Nice, I'm a little out of the loop when it comes to the trance scene so should be pretty helpful. Checking them out on grooveshark now.

Great producers and John O'Callaghan, Richard Durand in the same sentence. Pfffft, I haven't checked in the trancescene in a year now but it seems that the quality is still dropping since 2004.

My favorite album so far this year is 'In My Opinion' by Orjan Nilsen. I also loved 'Kiss From The Past' by Allure and 'Group Therapy' by Above & Beyond. And for compilations, I haven't really listened to many compilation albums this year. But I would recommend 'A State of Trance 2011' and 'Prague '11'.
