Xbox live problem, NAT won't stay open!

None of this was having any effect, so I restored factory settings, and I haven't had anything but open NAT since. | ||

That's weird, I've set up a dozen of routers of various brands, and you always have a page where you can map ports or ports range for a specific IP. After doing this, if your IP on the network changes, the NAT settings don't apply anymore. Think you should check that your IP is fixed on your local network. The IP which looks like 192.168.xxx.yyy or 10.xxx.yyy.zzz | ||

No. To define a fixed local IP, you should go to the IP Addressing section, and probably use LAN IP address. It should ask you to bind a MAC address with an IP address, so your local IP will be fixed. | ||

I haven't really messed with it much either mostly because I'm lazy, but I never had this problem when I was living in my off campus house at school, only difference being the router model. | ||
