It's coming to the end of June. It's the time to hit up the big titles in terms of VN Read. Some of the releases are, OreTsuba, 電激ストライカー, すきま桜とうその都会, Rewrite, 雪鬼屋温泉記. Which are copy pasted from Ecael's recommendation so even if you ask me what the Japanese titles are I have no idea... Many VN readers and Anime watchers have heard of [KEY] studio before. or atleast have seen one or two of their works. Which includes but are not limited to: Clannad Kanon Air Little Busters Planetarian
And now finally the (not so new anymore) title has been released. Which is Rewrite.

Description
Rewrite is set in the fictional city Kazamatsuri where treeplanting and afforestation have caused the city to become overgrown with trees and flowers in much the same way that other cities are filled by buildings. However, while most of the city appears to be rural, there are many traditional city elements as well. While set in a modern setting, the city also gives off a strange sense of nostalgia. The basis of the story is set in a high school setting. The first half of Rewrite primarily consists of the characters interacting in many everyday, enjoyable scenes. The latter half, however, is more serious, emotional, and carries a sense of mystery to the plot.
As indicated by the title, rewriting is the theme of the game's scenario. The tagline for the game is, "Could it possibly be rewritten, that fate of her's?".

Like other [Key} games Rewrite is a (this one is for all ages, no H and the like) Romance type VN with a hint of supernatural stuff in it. As far as the other Key games have went. Even though I heard Maeda didn't do much on this one project, the game look so Jun Maeda like, I can almost expect Key to pull a Jun Maeda on me. So I am some what prepared for what may be thrown at me haha.... Will up the OP as I start reading more into it

Seems it was released 2011-06-24. Are you reading it in Japanese, using a tool to get the text extracted and translated on the fly or is it full audio so you just listen to the dialogue? Since vndb doesn't list an English version (yet).

The fully animated VNs don't have text. Excluding the ones the characters themselves see, such as school names or traffic signs. School Days is the most famous of these ones. It didn't even have subtitles at release, that was patched in afterwards. I played that listening to the audio since I can't read Japanese (not even romanji).
I checked out the two OPs and they are pretty nice. A shame that it will probably take less time for someone to learn japanese than for the current translation community to translate 3MB full of text into english.

If you study full time and do more at home. Then that might be true. Otherwise the opposite will be true due to the difference in alphabets between English and Japanese. It also depends on who picks the project, if anybody.
An easy way to see how different things are would be to check the various baka-tsuki projects. One might take one month for a novel, another might get halfway in a year. I admire those that have the drive to spend so large portion of their free time on unpaid work for others benefit. I've tried translating anime and don't have the dedication (only finished 4 episodes in total of various series).
