BIG EDIT!!! TEAM EX HAS OFFICIALLY GOTTEN KRAFT AS A SPONSOR!
Cheesetown:
I am happy to announce a new super team of Starcraft 2 players, Team EX! Team EX is founded on the principles of bad mannering and raging, so it is only appropriate that the squad has members which properly represent these principles.
Team EX
A team dedicated to the most serious and motivated players in StarCraft 2. Following the Korean model, Team EX will be placed in a pro team house in country Liberia under BM Gaming LLC. The house will not only accommodate Team EX, but provide unique opportunities for bad manner players from other teams around the world to come troll. It is scheduled to open later this year.
The Team
Wasif “CombatEX” Khan
The Team Captain, CombatEX is known as one of Pakistan's best Starcraft 1 trolls during the lifespan of the game. Trolling StarCraft 2 full-time, he's seen repeated success with his Cheesy and All-In style. Nicknamed the “The EX Factor, and Scumbag Toss," CombatEX has robbed over $10,000 in StarCraft 2 prize winnings from macro players. He currently is at the top of the Grand Master trolling ladder.
CombatEX has also traveled to Korea for Troll A qualifiers and can currently be seen playing on the North American server.
Manuel "Deezer" Germain
One of the visionaries behind Team EX, Deezer has been invested in competitive bad mannering since StarCraft 1. After gaining an infamous following for stream sniping top players such as Greg "Idra" Fields we simply had to include him in our lineup. He does NOT hack under the name Undercover.
Deezer personally believes he is out doing God's work, and Brother Mack couldn't agree more.
Steven "Destiny" Bonnell II
Having played since the beta, Destiny is known within the Starcraft II community for his bad manners and rage. In May of 2011, he caused a considerable backlash in the community by publicly defending his use of racial slurs on the State of the Game podcast. After being released from Complexity, we knew that we had to have Destiny on the team, knowing that he was the star power that Team EX needed.
Destiny is a pioneer in e-sports, being known as one of the first players to actually make a living by trolling.
Umair "GTLBaby" Shaikh
GTLBaby is a relatively new player to the competitive BM scene, however, he has worked his way up to Grandmaster League and is one of the premier up-and-coming players in Starcraft 2. He has pioneered many visionary builds such as the "GTLBaby" build that puts zerg players on one base, as he feels zerg is "dog race", and needs to be "snapped like twig". One of his most famous games to date is when he knocked ROOTCatZ out of the IPL by utilizing very strong early timing attacks coupled with keen game awareness and sense. Considered by many to be one of the greatest Starcraft 2 Player that Pakistan has produced (second to only CombatEX), he is revolutionizing one base play and his trademark phrase, "out dog" is quickly catching on with the young ones.
They say if Pavel Alekseyev is the King of Cheesetown, then GTLBaby is the crown prince.
Dmitry "Rapdawg" Buyankin
RapDawg is name feared by many, but respected by all. One of the legendary founders of the "¯\_(ツ)_/¯" channel on Battle.net, RapDawg has quickly become famous for his innovative ZvZ build, as shown here: . RapDawg is the only player not in Grandmaster league on the team, however, don't let that fool you. He has one of the deadliest six pool all ins in all of Starcraft and is considered by many the heir to idrA's throne.
While many players need multiple bases to win, Rapdawg claims he only needs one.
Brad "ACERGAME" Jenkins
The king of BM is back. Known for his 1 base stim timing pushes, ACERGAME feels that in order to be the best he needs to end the game as fast as possible. He is known for pioneering the ACER build, where a terran builds an early Command Center just so he can get more SCVs to all-in with. Although he retired from gaming in early 2011 due to an illness, ACERGAME has been convinced by Team EX to come back to competitive trolling and show people just how much of a dick he can be.
ACERGAME's thoughts about joining Team EX, "Playing SC2 24/7 gonna be best n become a millionaire next year".
Captain Team EX, Wasif “CombatEX” Khan:
Team EX is the culmination of everything I would ever want in a professional bad mannering organization. During my 3 month stay in Korea, i got a first person view of how the Korean teams operate. I realized although the Korean method for bad mannering produces the best results, they were lacking something; an American cultural view point. The goal of Team EX is to fuse the structured unprofessional training regimen of Korea, and couple it with the egotistical machine of western trolling. The long-term goal is to create salaried professionals who become celebrities in the field of professional trolling. It is our belief that with our business ventures as well as our unprofessional approach we can have players making a very comfortable living, as well as promoting Team EX and themselves as a brand. I am very confident with the team we have assembled, and i look forward to taking the first steps in ruining team leagues as a whole.
Team EX President, Pavel "Cheesetown" Alekseyev
Team EX represents a different trolling approach than what I have done so far on the North American server. It was truly a team effort to assemble this group of talented and motivated trolls, but I have done this for many reasons, the foremost is unprofessional-ism and unaccountability. I believe these players represent a real chance to take trolling to another level. Plans for the team house are underway and we are all extremely excited to get started!
Team EX Lineup:
