This has bothered me for months, but it's not worth a thread, so it's blog time. Race icons. Every poster gets a race icon. It tells people what race you play. You can change your race icon by logging in, clicking on "profile" in the top left and then scrolling down the page until you see the section titled "Your Profile". There is a set of options there called "Your icon's race". By selecting one of the three, you let people know what race you play.
Now I notice a lot of Zergs don't use the Zerg icon. More often than not, they are flying the terran flag, only giving themselves away in threads. I haven't noticed any other discrepancies as much as that one, but the likely reason is Terran is default. So change your icon and represent your race people! Unfortunately, there is no random icon.
On a completely unrelated note, I spent a good part of my afternoon using Griffith's Force field and Blink Micro map.

I'm still frustrated by my subpar force fields, but it has been a blast. Makes you really realize how much you hurt yourself as a Protoss if you don't learn to make quick and intelligent decisions on where you place a force field. I've never really liked the spell, so I either built way too few sentries and tried to rely on my zealot count/blink play or I spammed them in the most thoughtless of ways. I'm doing my best to keep my sentries alive and my force fields from overlapping.

I only use the Terran icon because i played Terran in Broodwar, that and all the Terran portraits are legendary good

I dunno, arb. The Science Vessel icon looks like a poorly drawn face, and the Goliath is a bit distended. I'll admit, however, that the Vulture and Valkyrie icons are sex.

I use my zerg icon even though I play random now most of the time. I wish we could get some new SC2 Icons along with SC2 Team badges like the BW posters have. =)

Yeah, that makes sense. I really just wanted to make sure everyone knew the option was there. It's not a big deal either way.

We should definitely not get SC2 portraits. Leave the portraits alone, at least ):

Personally i like the vessel, it and the defiler are tied as my favorite icons
vultures are good too though

Imma switch to P when I can be an archon for instant at a glance veteran cred.

Terran in BW, Toss in SC2. I'm keeping up with my race changes.

I'll always fly Protoss colors (unless they add random icons, I might switch, but you can't really do much with those idk)

Play terran when I play sc2 but Z will always be 1st in my heart as I played it in BW!

Well, I have to choose one of the following:
- Hydralisk (I am Z)
- Firebat
- Dragoon
Choice is too easy imo. Dragoons are so stupid in BW so I'm cutting it. There is Hydralisk and Firebat and I think that Firebat is better than Hydralisk.
