i think snake skin is much better than flat :-/

Is it confirmed that it's a Zealot on the cover of the original SC1 box?

I much preferred the sc1 look. Every time I see that box art I smile a bit. The contours of his skin in sc2 look a bit too organic, almost zerg-like in a way. However...

Shows a similar contoured, smoother skin. There is still some scales, but it's nothing like the box. So even in bw, the art varied a bit. The box art is really the odd man out when you look at other in-game screens.

The one in SC2 just looks like the same from the original except he just got older. That's what 12 years do to a zealot.

i want to start a petition to blizzard to complain about the appearance of the protoss race. particularly the protoss female they doesnt look sexy or attractive at all. protoss civilization is so advance they should have more advance plastic surgery than the terran race right? so wheres the pin up girls for the protoss? protoss look like abomination in shiny gold armors. who's with me?

I think that they actually are supposed to have scales, not because that's what to old pictures show, but because I read it in some nerdy lore thing...

Blizzard must have decided that they look better without scales.
And look how Jim Raynor's face changed!

You know, not every race in universe (albeit fictional) has the same standards for what's cute, pretty, sexy or whatsoever crap like that. I personally like them the way they are.. no stupid-looking 'I have tits' female Protoss. Good for Blizz for making the Protoss race the way it is, I'd hug it anytime of any day of week!
