My point wasn't necessarily that the thing doesn't matter or should be ignored, but the outcomes are not so positive and grand that the media and the US and British governments are making it out to be. | ||

There's a lot of hollywood movies about the lone wolf who makes a lot of enemies by bending the rules to ensure that justice is met, too. | ||

Hands up who around here thinks that OBL's death means Planet Earth 2.0 just began and we can start building rocket ships to take us to the far-reaches of the universe, so we can continue to multiply and prosper across the galaxy? Everyone knows it doesn't mean diddly in terms of actual tangible gains, but it does mean the closing of a chapter for a lot of people. It's a significant event for those directly related to people that were lost in the crimes the man orchestrated, and a milestone for justice. That the guy could run around, orchestrate terrible acts of violence from complete safety and be mete with no justice was a sheer embarrassment to the ideals that we, as civilized nations, hold dear to us. | ||
