I wanted to cook something but all my saucepan were use, so i borrow one to my roommate. After 15min, I just realize I burn what i was making and now the saucepan is scrap. I've search on google any tip to restore it but all the tips i found didn't work.

Anyone have good tip to get it restore ??

And plz don't tell me to buy him a new one ♥

You burned the bottom of the pan? Can't really fix that, maybe serious scrubbing?

Fill it with hot water and soap, let it stand for a while, then scrub scrub scrub. Don't use a sharp object to scrape away the stuff, use the flat edge of a butter knife or something if you have to.

I've already try it but thanks anyway. This is late here and tomorow i'll try to use baking soda with a little bit of white vinegar. I hear this work pretty well

nah, if it was non stick (i mean like teflon) and you burned it, it's really done. That's what your picture looks like OP. Buy him a new one.

If it was iron/copper/steel/aluminum or whatever and NOT nonstick, then use a scrubber pad like the one in the picture ^^ and you'll be fine. If you try to use a metal scrubber on a teflon pan though, you'll just make it worse...

Just because there is some discoloring on the pot/pan doesn't mean it is bad/broken. It just means it's discolored.

What did you burn, and what is the pan made out of? You can use a chemical that reacts with the burnt material, but not the pan itself.

if its really burnt badly and you're using a lot of effort with he metal scrubber pour some vinegar and let it sit for a while. but if its a nonstick sauce pan then you should probably buy him a new one.

yes , the non stick component will start flaking off if you burnt the food too much
you aren't even meant to breathe in the smoke of a burning non stick pan , let alone eat parts of the teflon that come off when you next use it.
