I don't have a personal problem with marijuana. I don't smoke, but I don't think it should be illegal. Regardless it is illegal. If the cops decided to arrest some of the people in that mob (since what they're doing is illegal), I assume there would be no rioting or protesting or problems whatsoever, right? Doubtful. Just imagine if another group of people selected a day of the year to celebrate doing another illegal activity (a worse drug? something with guns perhaps?) and started doing those en masse. I don't see how this is awesome. I see it as law enforcement not being consistent with their rules, and therefore making it appear that they don't take their laws seriously. I also think it's stupid for them to turn a blind eye to you guys so blatantly sticking up your middle finger to the law. I honestly don't understand what reason there is for you guys not to have been arrested. Because there were a lot of you? Granted, I think pot should be legalized. But until it is, I think people should be following the rules. | ||

I can't imagine what you must think about the civil rights movement, when the protestors were breaking the law en masse by using whites-only water fountains and sitting at the front of the bus. I have news for you: The law is busted in certain areas, and the only way to fix it is to get outside and do something about it. Everyone there was risking getting a ticket for possession and possibly even a suspension from the University if the law was so inclined to pursue us.
