As some of you may know, there exists a sport called "chess boxing" that combines the rough and physical sport of chess with the intellectual activity of boxing. Competitors alternate between the two, and the match ends with either a knockdown or a checkmate. (You can watch a video about the sport here.)
Today in IRC, after a poorly worded statement by an ESL representative, tofucake and I conceived of a closely related idea. Ladies and gentlemen, I give you... SC2BOXING!!
Three minutes of Starcraft. Pause. Three minutes of boxing. Repeat. The match ends either with a KO, or when an independent panel decides that the SC2 game is decided beyond all doubt. A simple but badass sport.
Think about that finals. Wouldn't you be more likely to watch it if MVP and Marineking were to get up out of their booths every 3 minutes and duke it out? I know I would.
SC2 Boxing. It's the sport of the future. Coming to an arena near you.
Frankly a fight to the death would help keep the scene interesting and fresh. Boxing would be fun to watch though. 1st round = early game 2nd round = fisticuffs 3rd round = mid game 4th round = fisticuffs again 5th round = late game to end game. Judges decide the winner.
Most SC2 korean pro gamers are kinda scrawny, I don't think the boxing would be very interesting. Now if you got Pusan, Reach, and Nada were to duke it out, then it could be interesting. If your buff and a turtle terran, this would be cake.
Thats is a seriously bad ass poster! Awesome job as always! Also I would pay good money to see such a thing (I think Incontrol would be something like 500-0 by the end of the year haha)!
There would be too much cheese. I say 3 minutes of boxing followed by 10 minutes of SC rinse and repeat. We don't want cheese or clean build orders. We want stumbling to make the pylon on 9 and depot on 10.
Those of you that fight in any form know how hard it is to think critically after being knocked around for a few minutes, so this would provide quite a challenge. Excellent idea IMO.

no... this would be way too unfair... incontrol would be just a GOD between this sport... not even nada could face him... and nada is quite ripped too o.o
