Hello,
I have been playing Starcraft 2 and of course listening to day[9] for a while now, but I have had trouble "getting into" the game. Recently, day[9] did a Newbie Tuesday about "getting into" Starcraft 2, in which he suggested as a major step forming a group of friends to play and watch Starcraft 2 with. This, according to him, helps to make the experience more social and interesting, helps you invest yourself more in the game, and provides additional motivation to actually play. I, not knowing of any way that I can form such a group other than by posting here as he suggested, am doing so. I hope that I have not wasted the time of any who read this and wish you all a good day.

Yeah, I think a good thing for this thread would be to just to put your approximate level and ingame info. I know there is the practice partner thread, but I think that applies more to serious players, instead of those just starting out. I know theres prolly not that many bronzies that feel like they're looking for a "practice partner" I know I'm just looking for some friends to play online with. and thats what community is all about.

This sounds like it could be interesting. I also watched the Day[9] newbie tuesday and would like to find some people I can play with. I am a silver league 1v1 player and my profile is DarZkane. I play zerg and am silver in 1v1
Though I won't be online or playing for a while. Don't have SC2 on my old laptop and am away from home right now

I just wrote a blog post expressing my interest to make some friends in the community, as well.
I am going to be working on my play this week, and I probably won't go online for a couple weeks (until I have built up my confidence a little).
However, I'd be up for chatting with some people while watching Day[9] or pro games, et cetera...
