I know from experience that two speeding tickets automatically enrolls you into a couple hour course that you have to take so it doesn't involve losing points, or paying even more money. Not sure if the speeding ticket + going through a stop sign might result in the same thing. I'd go to the hearing though. | ||

They usually get the whole ticket wiped clean, especially if it's your first offense. Can't remember if you're from calgary or edmonton, but if you're in calgary, I got a guy I can recommend. | ||

Since you brought up the subject let me tell you what happened to me yesterday. I was going 60 in a 35 right infront of a cop (his car didn't look like a cop car) so i pull into the gas station and suddenly me and my brother hear sirens. The next thing i know a cop is stepping out of the car behind me. So Im like fuck but i act cool. he says hes detective bla bla bla and that i was going 60 in a 35 (Im also wearing headphones) he asks for license and insurance i have a stack of papers in my glove compartment hes like "yah you're fine usually when people have a stack of papers in there they have insurance" so he comes back to me and tells me its $100 for speeding and $100 for wearing headphones, but he says he won't write me up because its not the end of the world and he could understand that I "fucked up". Honestly I learned that if you respect the officer who pulled you over they will usually respect you back. As far as going to court. Do not I repeat, Do not do a hearing by mail. You will make a better case if you are there in person. | ||
