anyone have them before??

im pretty sure im having really bad back spasms right now, right about where the left kidney is.

I get lower every now and then because of Squats and Deadlifts and what not in High school. but its never this bad.

Any advice?

I had it once, it went away after I laid down. No idea why it happened, but I got it after starting exercises. I think it's best to take it easy, else see a doctor.

if i laid down it would be totally fine, but im at work and i have to drive home toot

I'd say do some stretching. Especially if you're lifting. Lower back and neck pains are usually caused by not enough toe touches and stretching of the hamstrings in general. If that does not relieve the pain at all, then go see a doctor. But generally, it is caused by lack of hydration and lack of stretching. Or you could have pulled a muscle out of alignment.

Used to have this same problem from squats, except spasms were in my calves and hamstrings. Lack of hydration and lack of stretching like stork said, it really helps to do both.

drink water, take adequate magnesium. (allows your muscles to relax properly and prevents cramps/spasms from happening)

Wanna add if ur back hurts after squats/deadlift you are doing them wrong. I'd say it has to do with not using ur abs to protect ur back or overtraining

ok so the really really bad spasms went away after i got home and lied down for a while.
still a little tight in my lower back (left kidney area) but im pretty sure it will all be good in the morning.
