ROFL "To crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentation of their women." And to stop smoking.

However making the life more joyfull and overall healthier is the correct point here. I have been smoking for 7 years and i cut down on it a lot lately but i still can't manage to quit totaly. My mom has been smoking for about 30 years, and in a way I guess.. she sort of just grew out of it. Or she realized she's getting older, and my sister really needs her in her life right now. She has maybe, 1 smoke a day? 75% of the time she doesn't. I bring age in, because as you get older, the realization of "hey, i'm old. oh shi-" comes into play. Some people accept it, and move on and be happy about it, but i'm sure people get scared. I know i'm personally terrified of getting older, dying. I can scare myself into not leaving the house very easily, because of how fragile life feels. x__x When I get older, i'm gonna be a wreck, and I know it. That's why I don't smoke, I stopped doing drugs, I stopped drinking, and why i'm trying to move my life into a healthier light. x_X!! Edit: I forgot what I was typing halfway through this, so sorry if it stopped making sense. /facepalm
in my experience, everyone who gets old almost always thinks "im getting old...its too late to change....ill just keep doing what im doing....". even if theyre not even 30 yet fucking depressing miserable brits

fyi i managed ~11 days this time, smoking full time again now -_____- will try again in a month or few i guess

I smoked 2 packs of cigs a day for nine years and I quit for good four years ago after having quit for no-good maybe 3 times before.
The most important trick is to start doing any kind of really heavy duty exercise which makes it crystal clear the vile fags are morphing you into a geriatric fart. The super nasty feeling of tar and chemicals crawling up your throat when you're completely exhausted (5 minutes into the workout for your average heavy smoker) and the pathetic whining of your infested lungs is a very real and very serious turn-off.
Then you just need to make it through that critical period between one and three months in (the first couple of weeks are easy, sorry), maybe skip coffee or pizza or a night out or the hardcore gaming session, whatever made you feel like smoking a lot because it will make you feel like you are only going to smoke one for good old times and then you're hooked again like a crackhead.
When the body is finally free of the nicotine and all the synthetic drugs your favorite brand injects into the "tobacco", which normally takes around six months, you're done for good.
What's funny to me is how I suddenly find smokers downright nasty. Cigarettes smell REALLY bad once you're off them, the people who smoke smell hardcore and if it's chicks their saliva has a funky flavor and they stink, too.
Get rid of it!

There is so much to life, you should try to live it to it's fullest, and get the most out of it. You only have one chance that you really know about, right? Who knows about after or before. ^_^!

Get rid of it! I can't stress this enough. o__o For someone who doesn't smoke, they can smell and taste it instantly. It's a disgusting taste and if you don't smoke, chances are you won't like it. x___x

Yeah, the smell is another thing I almost forgot about. Seems like it really sticks in the cold as well. That will be another bonus from quitting, not feeling self-consious about stinking like cigs.
Wait, why am I still smoking? sigh.. lulz.

My grandma stoped smoking when she was like 70. One day she just made up her mind and quit.
That's all there is to it really.

Well, with that bump comes good news! I haven't had a smoke in 2 months, and I feel slightly less like killing everything than I did when I wrote this blog.

That's great to hear. There's only been one person that ever told me they were going to quit smoking that actually quit; the rest gave up within a month.
Hope you keep it up.
