Every once a year some anti-government faction blows shit up in a certain event whether it's valentines or whatever. The bombing took place in the Birthday of our president's mom (cory aquino)

He was pretty much implying that this happened because of religion. He's not mentioning anything else and from the sarcastic way he said it, it wouldn't be a stretch to take it as him thinking that religion was the prime reason and perhaps the only reason this happened. Internet new-atheists say these kind of things constantly. Whatever, fuck this kind of polemics. It's a serious shame that these kind of things happen. I can't imagine something like this happening near me or to anyone I know.

I'd prefer not to presume to know what level of involvement he was implying religion had, but yeah I do oppose militant atheists rallying against religion at the sight of any and all tangentially-related-to-religion-negative-events. I'd still call it more knee-jerk antireligious sensationalism rather than ignorance, though. Though I'd hope you agree with me that PH wasn't helping one bit in any direction.

Do the gov find out who are the ones behind this ? I hope that they find them out and then bring entire army to eliminate them. Civilian bombing is just unacceptable.

I feel for you, my dad used to work in Alabang before he moved to a company in Makati but still, he rides the bus along EDSA. This is just bullshit, terrorists killing civilians to make a statement just to get the attention of the government that's either too slow or just does not give a flying fuck about anything.

Shit happens man, and seriously, I'd rather trade places with her because this kind of lunacy just hurts people who don't really deserve to die. Some people should have lives of happiness and the people who did this, blinded by their fanaticism to whatever cause they hold dear, are depriving it to them. Also, damn the guys who stole her stuff... they got her wallet, cellphone and all her shit. Can't even give respect to the dead. As for the politics here; it really is about WHO you know; not about what you know. Makes me want to consider going to law school so I can "secure" my position or something. Anyways, anyone up for an MSL/OSL/GSL marathon somewhere in Manila where we can just chill and talk stuff? I need to get to know new people; seeing the same persons every day just kills all desire to interact with them.

I often wish that people weren't so afraid of all the basic rights we have decided upon. Maybe they think they can't handle the responsibility that comes with power. Freedom has always been a terrifying thought to most people. People always start pointing fingers at religions, political parties & ideologies when something bad happens. We all know those are mere tools. If they could only see where the other fingers point when they do that, that's where all the violence, hate & fear comes from.
