Her debut hit, think I was 8 or 9 when this was released. (she's recently become a quite famous in the states from what I understand) Nordman, quite unique style of music, this isn't my favorite song his, but this was his big hit. <3 his voice rusty voice! (in a totally manly way!) | ||

the offspring - self esteem (and the other big ones off of smash, my old favorite was probably come out and play - may have been the first music i listened to that wasn't from our record collection or on oldies 103.5) i think that brings me back to around 4th grade? woo yeah! great memories of my mom (a kindergarten teacher) singing along to "i'm not a trendy asshole". she already knew the song, i guess from my older brother or sister, and the first time it came on and she was singing i was floored. =D along those lines, green day - the grouch, daddio not minding this curse laden gem: + Show Spoiler + another big winner for me is the cranberries song "zombie". my old girlfriend would put this on during the drive home from high school from time to time, and although i never quite knew the words i would sing along from start to finish... "shut up, shut up! quit making fun" i would hear from the passenger seat.. but it never phased me. every time i hear this song it's like the first time. <3 here is a sweet live version i saw posted on reddit the other day: let's save this from being another youtube spam thread. hurray for legos, football games, and riding in the car jamming to wham. | ||
