At least a bad day for a middle-class white American.
So today I had a job interview at 10:30 AM to start working at a convalescent hospital. I take the train there at 8:41 and get off the train at 9:30. I have some time to kill so I head into Barnes & Noble.
While browsing the history books I encounter a bald white man with a sweater emblazoned with a giant swastika. Under it were the words "Nationalist Socialist German Workers Party" and on the back in big letters "WHITE PRIDE WORLD WIDE"
His hat said "Jesus is lord." I snorted at him and walked past, thinking he didn't hear me. Behind my shoulder I hear the words "Gotta problem with your own heritage?"
The last thing an anti-social aspie like me needed today was conflict with a much larger and confrontational angry neo-nazi. I said "No I don't, but I disagree with the white supremacist philosophy. I don't want to argue about it."
He got kinda in my face and said "people like you are the worst" and I just backed off and ducked out of the store. I realized I didn't pick up the drink I ordered just a minute earlier at the cafe. But I was too much of a pussy to go back in.
So I get to the hospital. The lady who was supposed to interview me seemed shocked to see me. I extended my hand for a handshake and she just looked at me like a deer in headlights. After about a minute of silence she said "Oh yeah, Christopher. Go sit over there. The DoN won't be here for a little while."
The DoN told me last week she was not going to interview me and that this lady was supposed to but I didn't want to seem rude so I complied. As soon as I sat down the buildings owner walked by and informed me the DoN would not arrive for about 45 minutes.
Frustrated I consider leaving but the interview lady catches me and says she wants to talk to me. She takes me into a small closet like room where a patient is getting a hair cut and tells me "you can work perdiem on weekends but you have to work anytime from 6:30 AM to 10:30 PM". This is impossible and I told her over the phone that I could not work any earlier than 10AM because of the transportation constraint. She apparently did not remember.
She told me to call her "whenever" if I can figure out a way to get there. She didn't even tell me how much I would be PAID to work there. Just "work perdiem and start this weekend". The only other detail I got was that each CNA has a miserable number of 9 patients per shift (that means the place is understaffed as fuck)
So I decide to call them tomorrow and decline.
After wasting 2 and a half hours of my morning I get back on the train. I originally bought a one way ticket, telling myself I'd buy another one at the station I arrived at. However when I felt the ticket in my pocket, having forgot my original plan, I assumed I bought a round way ticket. I got on the train and was immediately cited no less than 125 dollars without being given the chance to exit the train and purchase the correct ticket. I tried to explain to the guy that I was simply retarded but he thought I was a scammer and scoffed at me. He gave me dirty looks the rest of the painful 1 hour trip home as well as the other patrons.
That was my first ever "criminal" offense. Tickets cost 2 dollars by the way why the FUCK would I scam the city of Oceanside out of 2 dollars? No matter, the law is the law.
So my absentmindedness leads me to capping the horrible day off with a mandatory court appearance (in April). Time to go on unemployment and go through the wonderful journey of community college.

Ah man shit sucks, my day on the other hand was pretty good, I drove to college and when I got there I realized I had no money for parking whatsoever, so the only option was to drive home and take the day off

i spent $40 on a train ticket recently and not once did anyone ask to see a ticket from me ($40 being a day's work of course)

No that's the fine if I'm reading the citation correctly. He said it's ultimately up to the judge so hopefully the judge can plainly see I am a retard and give me some kind of moron discount or something.

my day was better than yours lol... I've had worse though.
Convalescent homes are hard to work in. You might be lucky that chick was a flake... Reminds me of one of he first jobs I interviewed for. I'd been applying to chemistry jobs all over for about 4 months and was getting desperate. Seriously considered starbucks or something dumb like that. But right before I gave up, I got this interview with a company that was nowhere near a transportation hub, about a 50 minute drive from home, and I didn't have a car. On top of that, the place didn't have windows, and I would have essentially been painting airplane parts with a special dye and inspecting for stress fractures under UV light 8 hours a day, and making like $12/hr. I borrowed a car to get to the interview, only to find out what a shitty job it was--and then they essentially told me they need someone less qualified who won't get bored and leave after 6 months. Coulda read my resume maybe? I was so desperate I told them I would do it anyway, they never called back thank goodness. I got a great job a month or so later.
Still sick of mafia? I'm gonna slow down a bit myself, just too much other stuff going on in life atm.

I've had several of these bad days, all you can do is cheer up and look towards the future.

I know someone who showed up at court to dispute his ticket, and the judge reduced the fine by half, paid $50 in the end. I once got ticketed too while going to an interview which I didn't even pass. Its just one of those days.

That's a shitty day, but I don't think it's shitty enough to tell the internet about it. You needed something more. Like a beloved pet's death, or a woman who cut off your dick and threw it out the window of a ten story building. That kind of thing.

My day was uneventful, other than cleaning cat/dog shit off the carpet. Did have an amazing heart-stopping burger though.
Sorry to hear your day was so shitty.
I certainly have it better than most, and it leads me to feeling a bit inadequate even though slacking is fun. Semester starts for me Monday, and I'll be busy with school. But I'm lucky enough to have a family that can support me while I go to school. I feel inadequate because I'll only be taking 4 classes and a lab at community college this semester (which is technically full time), where I've overheard people talking about their 6 class load and working so many hours a week.
