The night air was cool as a soft breeze floated in through the window of the partly burnt building where the staff had taken refuge.
Plexa sighed and closed his eyes as the cool breeze floated past his face, he opened them with the hope that he would wake up in his comfy bed, safe at home. Alas, what he saw confirmed his belief that this was, indeed, not a nightmare.
Plexa looked out at the desolate landscape of the once proud city, entire buildings leveled, hollowed, burnt out husks of what used to be cars littering the once busy streets.
"You holdin' up ok?" a voice reached Plexa's ears, he turned to face Chill and sighed
"yeah, i guess, considering the circumstances" Plexa replied softly.
"I know what you mean, this is royally fucked up"
"Who could have known it would get this bad? I sure as hell didnt foresee this"
"you're right, but there's nothing we could have done"
"nothing we could have - NOTHING?!" yelled an outraged Plexa "WE started this, Chill, it's OUR fault that this happened"
"Listen, Plexa, you need to shut your mouth before I shut it for you" Chill growled
"Can it! the both of you!" Manifesto's manly voice ordered out of the darkness, "What's done is done, we can't go back now. Focus!"
Plexa and Chill both stared out of the window at the darkness as they faintly heard the sounds of the 'Horde' approaching.
"Get ready, boys, it's showtime" iNcontroL called out as he stepped into the room with an assault rifle in each hand, he tossed one to Plexa and one to Chill before retrieving the LMG on his back.
Following iNcontroL were others, such as R1CH, Hot_Bid,Evil Teletubby, Rekrul and all the others, fully armed and ready for a war. A shriek suddenly pierced through the night air.
"They're here!" whispered Plexa, he looked outside and gasped at the masses coming for the building. Even from this distance he could hear their terrible voices ringing out through the air
"BW is gay!"
"stupid nub!"
"go die and stfu"
"BW is for old retarded fags!"
the voices seemed to flow into one another as the mindless horde ran full speed towards the building.
Manifesto swung his weapon off his back and cocked, "let's rock this joint"

Does this actually happen >< I guess so if the ban list is any indication. Could just be me, but most of the time when reading the threads in the SC2 forum I get the feeling that half the people haven't read the OP...

Just started BW again last night after an eleven or so month break  Made me remember how awesome of a game it is and how bad at it I've become. (Comparatively to myself =p)

I actually felt the "BW is gay!" sentiment was much stronger prior to release or beta when we were fighting the huge MBS wars and other such nonsense. Back then BW fans would actually interact with the nascent SC2 forum, drawing out the worst sentiments of unwashed neophytes. I think after years of fruitless attempts at educating and inoculating the masses, BW fans have given up on assaulting that most impregnable fortress known as Ignorance.
