Basically lets you use your iPod with other music software as opposed to iTunes. edit: That being said you wont be able to sync apps with your computer that way, but it should let you at least put some music on the thing. Also consider searching for something along the lines of "itunes windows xp 64-bit" in Google, as there seems to be some work arounds to "unofficially" getting itunes to work on 64-bit XP. | ||

In any case, there's a bunch of media players out there right now that will work with Apple music players. Even winamp has that functionality. | ||
