So during the interview I stuttered quite a lot, over-talked them (I was on speaker talking to 2 guys) while they were mid-sentence, and hesitant. I was initially a Civil Engineer major. All my web engineer knowledge and skills are self-taught (I think that's why one of the interviewers was really interested in me because he was self-taught also). | ||

Any M5 with decent options is going to run well over $90k and sometimes over $100k. That's just a ridiculous burden to put on yourself right off the bat or in 2-3 years. You would be much better off with an M3 though. And if you're buying pre-owned, don't forget that M5s are a bitch to maintain. Just my 3-series is a money-pit whenever anything needs to get fixed out of warranty. An M5 is much worse. Congrats though! Hopefully, I can land a decent job out of college and get myself the 1M I want. I could afford it now, but it would be quite a stupid move to do financially speaking. | ||

Yea, I know what you mean, but the allure of the M5 is just so strong to me. We have two 3 series in my family already: a 325i and a 330ci. When they hired you, they knew full well what to expect from a young, inexperienced but enthusiastic individual. Presently, I don't think they're paying you for the quality of work you produce right now per say, but for what they can make of you down the road after they guide you a bit. Taking you under their wing is something they're obviously prepared to do. I know you don't need it, but good luck man. | ||

Yea, they acknowledged that they were taking a big risk with me (lack of experience and all), but were willing to take that leap of faith based on what happened during the interview and their impression of me.
