It doesn't matter what your age is as long as you keep in decent shape and don't let yourself go a lot it will still look fine. At that point its pretty much worn off by then anyways.. Too short to live? wtf is that? and the too young to die won't really apply past 20 and is completely unoriginal. Also 18 and you think youd need parental consent to get a tattoo wtf is with canada?

hmm, to me it sounds like you just want a tattoo for the fun of it. Those tend to be the tattoos you regret. Usually, good tattoos have really powerful meaning or experience behind them, not just something you think sounds cool.
you remind me of someone I knew, same as you; studs in his ears, enjoyed standing out (used to do backflips off benches and ride to work topless on a unicycle eating shwarma). He got a tattoo cause it'd be cool......

tattoos are so much addicting. after my 1st one i had to get another and now im thinking about 3rd :D
a lot of ppl think that you cant find nice job with it but that my are not so visible yea you can see em when i have short shirt but thats all. I think its more and more acceptable than in pass.
also some ppl are scared of pain but i can say it doesnt hurt at all, its that kind of beautiful pain^^
My 1st was nearly same tattoo which has Jin from Takken and it cost me 300euros and i had to go there for 3 times to make it complete.
than i get my SK gaming logo NO regrets. but some ppl dont find it so beautiful as i do : ///// its small so its cost me 50 euros

everybody has tattoos these days, they're not catching my eyes anymore at all. I may notice there's a tattoo on someone, but I dont anymore even care to bother check out what they are/resembles.
Tattoos are starting to look like dirt on someone's skin with the edge of my eyesight.

I would think about the size and how big you really want it. To me, it looks really awkward the bigger the font is for some reason.
Also I really don't understand your quote. "too short to live" you mentioned it was the same direction as too fast to live which I never heard before either. Can you explain it to us a bit further?

I love tattoos! By the time I'm 30 I hope to have half sleeves on both arms. They are extremely addicting. Make sure you spend a lot of time deciding what you want and my only piece of advice is to not get any of the flash they have up for you to pick from because chances are somebody else will have that same tattoo. Best idea is to work with your artist to come up with something you wouldn't mind having on you forever.

personally, after getting many tattoo's i would warn you against things like "too young to die" etc... because when you are 80...... well, they will just look silly.
If you really want a tattoo, then get something that will always be meaningful to you. Better yet, make it something no one else will understand without you giving an explaination.
here are a couple of my tatt's (with explainations):
This one is on my right arm. It is my "logo".... I am s singer and this is what I designed to go on my posters etc, it is my name done in a funky way. btw it Spells Kai. I have always had a thing for vampires and thats why its made to look like the needles have pierced my skin and there is blood.

This one is on my left arm. It is a tattoo that cover scars i got from being very high and cutting the same pattern with a cut throat razor. When i got cleaned up, i decided to have it tattoo'd over and added the elven writing which reads "never again". It is to remind me that cocaine is my biggest weakness and that life is more important than drugs (which is the opposite of how i used to think).

Finally, this one i on my left hand. I will be getting one similar on my right hand soon. When i get on stage to peform I paint around my eyes in a similar way to this tatoo, people always ask why I do it and the answer is...... because its what feels natural to me. I used to be goth, but i grew out of the white face thing, I started to add colour to my wardrobe and it naturally extended to my face.
I decided to get the tattoo because I often feel lost in this big world, and the only place that i truely feel comfortable is when on stage, all dressed up and ready to rock. The tattoo will always remind me of the great times I've had performing, and the reason i wake up in the morning..... to entertain people as often as possible

As you can see he has an arrow pointing down to his pelvis area with the word "Kuk" written on it. Kuk means Cock. A wonderful tattoo.
More on topic, don't get any saying of any kind. People with quotes like "live life" or such are immediate fail in my book. Get some nice picture drawn instead and do it in a place where a normal t-shirt conceals it.

So it has a meaning to you, huh? How special can this meaning be when a million people have the very same tattoo and I'm sure for the same reasons. Maybe you're just not very unique.
Now, if you really must express yourself in this way, then for the love of god, at least spend more time on finding the quote than five minutes. And don't pick a douchebag one like that. Seriously. Tattoos can be cool, but it requires some effort.
