This is MLG Dallas 2010 btw!
Day 1:
We (my dad, my friend, and I) arrive to the hotel. We unpack and head for the venue. I'm not really prepared for the intensity of this weekend. I see a few Liquid guys and I get some amazing adrenaline. Just imagine when I see IdrA!
We arrive at the Starcraft 2 venue and eventually find IdrA in the crowd. I stare at him. Oh, how different does he look in person! He looks smaller and more humble. IdrA eventually goes into the computer stands to play his games, and I just tunnel vision him. My great bench seats and my view of the game are sacrificed to wait for IdrA. My laptop will get signed by Greg Fields.
He gets up and my laptop & marker instantly unsheathe. This is what I came to MLG for. I'm about to pounce upon the entrance, but IdrA stops to talk. I retreat back to my waiting spot. IdrA starts walking to the computer area's entrance, and I swear I teleported in front of him. I held my laptop and marker out. My voiced turned high-pitched and squeaky:
"IdrA, could you please sign my laptop?"
"Sure."
+ Show Spoiler +
At this point, I wanted to tell him that I was the keeper of his quotes, that I was the one who he said especially kicked ass. But I couldn't. I wasn't scared to say it, I was just stunned by the fact that my laptop was getting signed by fucking IdrA.
"Thank you."
"No problem man."
MLG progresses....
Day 2:
My friend and I make posters. I held the I <3 IdrA and my friend had the Release the Graken.
I had my laptop signed, so all I wanted from MLG was IdrA to win, my posters to please, and to spectate some good games. I'm on floor 4 and we enter the elevator. The elevator stops on floor 3. I was feeling annoyed that someone was going to come in the elevator, I just don't like when that happens...especially if it was someone as big as...Incontrol maybe.
Well, Incontrol, his girlfriend, and fucking IdrA walked in. Holy shit. IdrA placed himself right in front of me. IdrA was really close. IdrA was really really close. I was within kissing distance of IdrA! Holy shit. My squeaky voice arose from my vocal cords:
"I made some posters for you IdrA."
He replied with something along the lines of:
"That's awesome man."
I wanted to say
And I still wasn't scared, I was simply stunned. My dad broke the ice. My raspy, Cajun-accented, 56-year-old dad said,
"So, you're the baddest Starcraft player on the planet?"
IdrA: "Hehe, yeah."
It might not translate well into text, but that was fucking hilarious.
MLG progresses,
+ Show Spoiler +
but at least my posters were well received. I wasn't terribly shocked at the loss. As IdrA's #1 fan, I'm used to these kind of loses.
Day 3:
Nothing much happened in relation to IdrA. My "IdrA Lost =(" was well received. When the finals game disconnected, I flipped it over and wrote "No LAN =(" Fuck Battle.net 2.0.
And I hope IdrA reads this: To connect the quote keeper to the person that he saw at MLG.

I know, but I only got IdrA's autograph at the whole event. I didn't have anything else to be autographed, and I didn't want anyone else to autograph my laptop
edit: maybe get HD to autograph my Don Quixote book lol

You might be Idra's only chance to get laid

Hahahaha that was pretty funny man. The second time you said wanted IdrA to know you as the note keeper was similar to stand up acts where they keep repeating the same thing. Really funny, also I enjoyed your signs.
