uh are the only changes from red/blue up until now that the pokemons look different/is named different? the graphics and gameplay looks really similar... well they added colors at least lol

i'd go with the blastoise copy

LOL this was also my biggest problem with pokemon. Thank God I got Pokemon yellow and I was told "Nope! sorry, you get Pikachu."

Should have gone with the penguin. Its final evolution is part steel so it's immune to pretty much everything in the entire game.

Actually I think all of the starters in this game were pretty cool. I went with the penguin.

Fire monkey has great offense//penguin gets steel-typing later on for awesome defense; turtle is kind of weak but it's because Grass is so underpowered =/

Also did you pick boy or girl character? :3

Always Fire Pokemons are best ones. Btw kona, where did you download the rom from? I just can't find anywhere. I already finished red-silver-fire red-ruby generations. Diamond is up next, but I can't play it.

i got the loli version of emerald recently, to find out what all this pokemon fuss is about. played it like 24 hours straight, slept thru the next day, woke up feeling like shit and havent touched it since haha

Good choice on chimchar.

Infernape is by far the best amongst torterra and empoleon, really good sweeper. Teach that thing close combat + overheat + a couple standard moves (don't think infernapes usually run stat boosting moves..can't remember).

Nasty Plot infernape can manhandle unsuspecting teams, but I dunno if you can get that ingame
