Hello TeamLiquid,
Ok, so I took an online test for a college class and I did really well, got only one question wrong. The online test's results are automatically saved online which I copied and pasted onto windows word.
Anyways, so I happened to come across a fellow student in the classroom who was asking me about the test. I, in one of my most retarded moment, offered him the saved test which I had previously saved.
So I emailed him the test.
Now here's the paranoid thought I'm concerning about. This guy, I don't know him at all other than he's in the same class as I am. He actually sits next to me, but I haven't had to chance to talk to him much (I have a sexy girl sitting on the other side of me). He's also... black. Not like ghetto black, but not someone who wears nice clothes kind of black guy either.
I'm not a racist, I'm just telling how it is.
The point is, I'm thinking that maybe he'll try to exhort more tests out of me, or he'll snitch me out resulting in my expulsion from the class, possibly from school!
So, if my fears come true, would it be best that I immediately come forward and contact the police and the school? I'm also considering beating myself with a tree branch to try and land him some years in prison for assault & battery.
Any advice that you guys can give me, I'd really appreciate it.

If worse comes to worst, just claim deniability by saying you emailed the wrong document and you were trying to give him some chart or something. Besides, he'll be implicating himself as well if he takes it to the professor.

Also I don't understand why giving him the test results gives him some form of power over you to extort more results oO.

no you're just being paranoid. this shit happens all the time in university, which is why most online assignments we get have randomized numbers so they don't have the same answers.

Uhh, I'm pretty sure that not every test will be the same- and your actual answers will be mostly useless for him. He can use it for study purposes, but I mean like whatever he can study anywhere.
Imo, you're "stupid" because of the meme, irrelevant racist remark, and the obvious lack of thought in your post- not because of the worry of being reprimanded.

Even if he ratted you out, he would end up getting in trouble for the same thing, so I doubt he would want to do that.
But either way, you probably just should do that anymore.

This is a little funny but definitely don't do that. On the doing it more often, just politely decline, and mention that sending the first one was probably a mistake and against the rules which you don't want to press.
Chances are he won't try to extort you or anything, if he does, go to your professor or faculty advisor right away and explain. Punishment won't be as harsh if you come forward. Also online tests that provide you with the answers afterwards, Profs always expect at least a little cheating to go on, most of the time they don't care because the cheaters just fail the midterms or finals anyways.

well he's got you by the balls now, if you don't continue giving him your tests, he'll rat on you. he won't get in trouble because he'll just say they're being racist for believing he cheats. You on the other hand are either white or asian who know that they are not allowed to cheat.
so you have to sell him your tests at a modest price (i'm guessing between $20 - $50 per test, depending on the test frequencies, and difficulty).

I'd say start mailing the answer to everyone in your class that way no one gets an unfair advantage and equality is maintained

I think it's unlikely he'll coercer you into giving more tests (I don't know him of course).
Or you could make some big bucks.

I assume the online test is in the form of MCQ (Multiple-choice question). So for the next test, just send him wrong answers. After couple of times he'll realize that you ain't no genius and probably stop bugging you :/

I'm not sure how many students really do use the textbooks during the online tests. I think maybe 90% of them do? Just wild speculation.

haha lol. nice lesson learnt. i used to hang out with a bunch of middle eastern and black guys at uni. you think these people are morally okay, when they stick to their fasting and flash religious symbols around, and email you lengthy forwards about how awesome jesus and the love of god is. then you come in one evening and they're dealing credit card numbers and start asking you if you know how to "hack" people....
