It's time for new rules.

Best part about this thread is that OP is clearly in a no-win situation. I demand more Trip Report action.
Furthermore, The least not-win type win, is to leverage money on your skills. Bet them a large amount of money, and then treat them like retards when they don't understand what you mean by Escrow when you refuse to play them until they've put it in the hands of someone you both trust.
If they don't, you can tell them that if they had a pair, they would take your bet.
If they do, you win and earn money.

half expected steven segal to jump out of my monitor and chop my keyboard in half when I read this

lol this sounds like one of my classes, cept I don't even care, and they play 1v1s as well and are probly around the same skill level since I know one of the kids brothers who is also high diamond so I assume he's just as good, so I could care less if he talks about SC2, even tho, I could probly beat him
|
Tell them that if you can't beat them 1v2 you will give them 20 bucks then rock their faces.

lol I just saw one of them browsing team liquid. Things could get awful spicy if these bronzies read this post.

QFT. Especially if you come back at them later and revisit the same conversation it just shows that you uh, well, thought about it for a long time and posted about it on the internet before working yourself up enough to come try to show them what's up. Not a winning frame.

Haha, awesome blog.
I think everyone here has been in similar situations lots of times. My advices goes like this:
The thing you don't like about them is them being cocky. It's not them being noobs, it's them being cocky. Because hey, being a noob and not knowing about stuff is not a bad thing. The bad thing is being a noob and pretending to know stuff.
So if you want to show them, don't be cocky about it because then you're gonna be just like they are. Because you're a noob too you know - well at least compared to me you are. Anyway, just talk to them about it in the least cocky way possible and then prove your point with a match which you then proceed to win convingly, but not in a humiliating way.
|
I can see the grudge match already.
"Hey CheAse! Your penis is full of shit!"

I love you chill and hope we see them throwing down in this thread shortly

Ok, this blog is totally awesome: A Combat-ex smurf was maybe revealed, we are writing a movie-script for the SC2 version of KarateKid, and we argue how to punish gold-newbies who don't give enough fuck and like to talk to girls. And we are just five pages in.
Me approve long time.

He cares because anyone who insists that '3v3 is harder and more competitive than 1v1' is not only completely ignorant and oblivious to reality of competitive StarCraft, but is also not a very skilled player if they use their performance in a team game as an indication of 1v1 prowess. Furthermore I fully envision these two as the 'assholes' of the class so to speak, who simply run their mouth all the time and act like they are 'the shit' or something like that. I've seen many of these type of people, and the only way to get them to shut the fuck up is act like a big dick and put them in their place. Someone has to do it, or they will keep acting that way.

This op has nothing to do with sc, it has to do with you not being "popular". Well i have some good news for you, in about 3/4/5 years you will get out of school and graduate college.
Your going to be offered multiple jobs starting at 50 grand 60.. etcetc.. at right about the same time those "popular kids" will start community college because they dropped out when they were 18 because they were too "cool" for school.
Their life will begin to spiral downward while your life is just getting started. Just be patience you and you will get what your deserve.
