Love them.
So yea, these days I am having a slight addiction to baked potatos - although this undeniably relates to my laziness to cook a proper meal, I nevertheless think it's a very nice thing to eat.
Currently I am eating them plain - no salt, no oil, nothing but potato. I am a light eater and I find potato naturally flavourful. If you have any other ways to eat these... please share! I want to try it some day.

The only thing that comes to my mind is gnocchis which are potato filled pasta. Those are really good, especially if you love potatoes.
This is generally what they look like.

Looks a bit complicated
I was hoping something along the lines of:
1. Season the potato 2. Put potato in oven 3. ??? 4. Profit.
JK
I'll google what you mentioned.

I like potatoes with pretty much anything I have on hand. Dried parsley or basil, salt, lemon juice... well, I usually don't have much else. But those work.

Cut em up, season them, bake them and you've got a pretty good group snack food.

Twice baked potatoes are heavenly if done right. It combines the crunchiness of baked potatoes with the creaminess of mashed potatoes, with a combination of pretty much whatever seasoning you'd like. Personally, I like any combination of butter, parmesan, parsley, salt. The nice thing is that it works so great with vegetables. Broccoli, string beans, peas, corn. I love those with mashed potatoes.

I like eating baked potatoes with srichacha sauce. Chop 'um in to chuncks, squirt the hot stuff on, eat with fork. Yum.
|
I usually salt/pepper/butter a sliced baked potato, and then, if I'm feeling fatty, either ranch dressing or sour cream+cheddar cheese. Nothing too complicated, really.
|
I always put sour cream and bacon bits, with a sprinkling of chives overtop. Most of the time, I put a small amount of shredded cheese in the middle and allow it to melt as well. Tastes amazing!

Bacon bits, sour cream, cheese, and chives like mentioned above. Soooooooooooooooo good.

How can something so innocuous taste soooooo good? >_<

I got to the "baked" part of the title - and was like -- Fffff... Uh - yeah.
Then I got to potato and thought French fries. Baked potatoes are better though with sour-cream. Sorry, high posting right now.

Potatoes are all good :D I can never understand how my friend from Idaho can get sick of potato.

never really cooked my own potatoes, but i order them every chance i get at restaurants. ive never experienced joy in my life til i had a potato, split opened and stuff with bacon and cheese, my whole life was based upon the fact that i should experience no true pleasure until i had one, making me appreciate them more when i first had them. truely life changing.

yeah all that matters is that baked sweet potatoes are crazy delicious.
Regular baked potatoes are good too. My topping of choice is probably bacon, because it adds a lot of flavor and a nice crunchy texture.

I actually don't like those too much. Sweet potatos are.... kind of sweet but I like the taste of potatos.
As far as health is concerned, I think it's not too bad. Although it has a lot of starch in it, the human body can't digest starch well - so a lot of them act as fibre in the intestines.
