Help Please?

Hey im new to SC2 ive only had the game for a few days but i have fallen in love with it but iam terrible at the moment. I was wondering what you need to do to improve and become a very good player? Im just starting to learn builds and so on with Terran as that is the race i use.

I want to know what the best ways to learn/improve are at the moment im playing the awful practice League and was wondering if players on here played unranked customs so i can learn by playing better players and getting tips.

I'am looking to get into competative SC2 but obviously iam no way near ready as yet please help me by telling me were to find unranked customs against other competative players and maybe some videos for Terran builds or any other good advice as i havent got a clue what im looking for at the moment.

I'm not sure it's the best advice in the world, but I'll suggest you do what I've told many others when they first start SC2.

Pick a race, pick a basic build/strategy, play ladder games, do that same shit every game.

You'll win a lot, you'll lose a lot, but eventually you'll naturally feel more comfortable and feel the urge to deviate from that basic build, based upon your experience and what you scout.

An example of this is with my protoss friend, who started out 2-3 gate zealot timing attacking every single game. After he realized that he always got rolled by XY, and Z, he'd learn to spot those in games and add/change his play based upon it.

Oh and, the greatest advice a new player can ever get is to SPEND YOUR MONEY. If you have lots of resources, SPEND THEM, if you can't spend them, make more production facilities and SPEND THEM. It'll improve your play 500x if you just focus on that alone. It doesn't particularly matter what you're spending it on when you're first learning, just make sure it gets spent.

When i said you could probably do this as a blog. I meant that you retype that whole thing into something better. Not copy/paste. Explain what your having trouble with and shit

yeah sorry the problems iam having well there is a few one being scouting im not sure how it works or how it should be done. Another problem is gates i havent got a clue what this means and also the map setting what are they if there is any sorry for not knowing any of this but iam very very very new.
