So the other day, I had once again lost in the finals of a tennis tournament. Upon rage quitting, I had tried to count how many gold medals I had ever received.
Zero.
Wait a minute, this can't be right. Of my 5 years of tennis, how have I not ever won one tournament? I counted again and again, but I had ZERO golds. And so I turned to the next step in the ladder, silvers. Exactly how many silvers had I won in tennis tournaments these past few years?
Eight.
Eight silvers, no bronzes, no golds. A handful of medals in my room, all saying "2nd Place", and a pair of trophies saying "2nd Place" stacked on top of my desk.
God damnit, Stork, you've cursed me for life.

If it makes you feel better I've played tournaments forever and I've never made it to any finals. Granted, I play about one tournament a year, but it still is a sucky statistic for me.

Funny story, but did you really need 5 years to realize you had never won a tournament ?

I'll get that gold eventually. I know that Stork was just waiting for that lone gold medal...and I will wait just like he did.
I think I need a TL shirt to win my tourney though. By wearing it, my skills are empowered by 150%.

I freaking hate being second, so you have my sympathy. Last season I finished runner up in both the leagues I play in and I was MAD, especially because the year before I won both. I think my mistake last season was opening FE vs Terran, which is always a mistake. Wait, what...?
