Hi milkis, do you play BW? if so, what's your highest rank? =0 I honestly don't play as much as I would want to, since whenever there's something interesting going on i just end up reading up on that. I play occasionally, and I think I'm like a D at best lol What came first, the protein or the ribosome :3 I don't remember anything from biology classes sadly ;; what do the semicolons in ^^;;;;;; mean Sweatdrops. So it's like ^^;;;; meaning like a nervous smile Favorite Iccup/Bnet moment? Sadly I don't have much of that, but I guess it's when Harem beat me with hydras on ZvZ cause I was that bad D: y r u so cute :3 It must be the emoticons D: How long have you been in Korea? 3 years, if you include all the summers + 4 month trip that I took, I guess 4 years Tell us a little about yourself. Who are you? Why are you on TeamLiquid? How did you find TeamLiquid? Sure. I'm currently a college student living in Chicago. I'm on TeamLiquid mostly because Harem and QibingZero got me hooked on Starcraft, and then pointed me to TL often. During the match fixing scandal and such I started posting some random Korean stuff I found by digging around, and then eventually I realized "hey I know Korean, and people seem to enjoy translations, so why not help out?" Eventually that led to me translating because I do think the foreign fans deserve the same amount of news and information as the Koreans. There was a lot of news that weren't covered, and there was a lot of fun things, so I decided to look for those and translated. What would your last meal be? Kimchi Fried Rice + Cold Barley Tea Do you prefer pepsi or coke? Pepsi. I can only drink coke with ice cubes, it's too carbonated for me X_X Are you Korean or did you learn Korean at a later age? I'm Korean, and although I only lived in Korea for the first 3 years of my life, my parents did a good job teaching me Korean and buying me a ton of Korean books, so my Korean isn't half bad. In terms of reading, I could pretty much read anything a native Korean can. In terms of writing, well, I make a lot of spelling errors and my writing vocab is weak but it's good enough. Dear Milkis, if you had to live on one drink for the rest of your life, would it really be Milkis? What about food No way. It'd probably be Barley Tea or Green Tea or something, cause I can't drink that much soda lol in terms of food, I can live off either curry or kimchi fried rice for the rest of my life ezpz

What does comments look like right now among korean netizens? I.e. are people hopeful with the emerging of sc2 e-sports, is there a lot of sadness over KeSPA's situation etc. It changed a lot recently, and honestly at this point I can't trust any Korean source. Korean media seems to be split into two sides - Pro Blizzard (Fomos being the example), and Anti Blizzard (DES being the example). Success of SC2 "depends" on which side the article writer is on -___- pgr21 is pretty pro Blizzard but I think recently they're sort of coming around to the point where they're not being that fond of Gretech either. There's a lot of anti KeSPA sentiment but I think koreans are realizing what "No Proleague" means now, albeit imo, a bit too late. What three things do you like most about Starcraft 2: Wings of Liberty? I only played the single player, so I'll just talk about that. I did watch quite a number of multiplayer games but I won't speak about any of that. I like the updated mechanics, that's for sure -- I also liked all the effort they put into the single player (although I hated the plot). After that... uh, I can't really think of a third, although "liking the updated mechanics" probably counts for a lot more than one, since I think that's the best part about it. In your opinion, what is milk? Goes well with cake/cupcakes. Turns into a lot of delicious food. What are the three things do you hate most about SC2? First off, I hate how the launch of SC2 caused so much bullshit for eSports (not SC2's fault, more like Blizzard-KeSPA-Gretech fault) Second, I hated the plot. I can't really find a third thing since like i said, only played single player. What should I ask you? Be creative? Why is my AMD Phenom X4 Black Edition reaching 70ºC when playing SC2 even though I've already setup all the fans I could fit in my case and the cpu fan and heatsink are running fine? Damn I could not thank you enough if you had the answer to my problems :/ PM user FragKrag

This was supposed to be my question, but I sorta inferred my own answer from your post. It's enough to satisfy my quench for the answer, so now I need a new question in its stead for this post. So my question is, if I am already satisfied with the previous answer, why am I asking another question?

What are your favorite bands? Rumble Fish, Jaurim, Cherry Filter, Loveholic, Broccoli You Too, Garnet Crow, The Brilliant Green, Mr Children. Play any instruments? My violin has collected a lot of dust cause I haven't played it in about 4 years now.... I'm planning on picking violin back up when I'm affluent enough to buy an electric or a good violin. Legs or tits? Face? So my question is, if I am already satisfied with the previous answer, why am I asking another question? You clicked on the thread with the firm mentality that you were going to ask a question, and then realized that the question was answered. There's a korean saying that "If you drew your sword, at least slice a raddish or something", and that's what you're doing ^^;; Where in Chicago do you live, and what college are you attending? Hyde Park. University of Chicago Your favourite progamer and why! NaDa and Jaedong, pretty much. I like NaDa mostly because he's shown he could adapt for the longest time, and I loved his performance recently in Proleague, showing that he can get back into the rhythm. Jaedong because I like his attitude.

Why can one choose a_0, a_1, ..., a_n in [-1,1] satisfying the following conditions? 1) a_0 + a_n = 0, 2) x_i = |a_i - a_{i-1}| for i = 1, 2, 3, ..., n Oh and why is any nonzero ideal of any ring of integers in global field projective module over the said ring? By 1) did you mean \sum_0^n a_i = 0? I don't know what you mean by that and how that's relevant unless a_0...a_n is ordered. It also looks trivial unless i'm missing something? The second part I haven't taken any algebra so I don't know about rings and such. If you have any Diablo 2 cd-keys, may I pretty please borrow them from you? I only have the LoD cd-key from a friend, and I believe his Diablo 2 cd-key is banned. Much appreciated. I never played Diablo 2 lol KeSPA or Blizzard? Whichever one gives me Proleague. Girls or Boys? Girls Virgin? Yup. Even more fun fact: I've never dated either ;p Favorite animal? Fox Favorite color? Midnight Blue Favorite soft drink? Milkis Favorite alcoholic beverage below 15%? Favorite alcoholic beverage >15%? I don't drink alcohol it tastes bad okay Most star deserving poster? I'm probably not the one who could properly judge who gets the star or not but I kinda feel undeserving when I got the star before csheep cause he translated longer Most annoying TL forum category? General Windows, mac or linux? I like windows 7. I also use linux on my laptop though since i feel as if it's easier to manage projects Drugs? Nope. Not interested in either, although I do read up a lot of stories about people's trips to see if I can learn anything from it since it is "unusual" after all. Why do you bother spending your time translating stuff for TL and trying to convince blizzard fanboys that gretech and blizz do not actually shit unicorns and fart rainbows? From the first post: "Eventually that led to me translating because I do think the foreign fans deserve the same amount of news and information as the Koreans. There was a lot of news that weren't covered, and there was a lot of fun things, so I decided to look for those and translated." I'm not really trying to convince unless people have facts really wrong or something. But then again, my facts could be really wrong considering how much inside shit goes on esports media :| Are you into any freaky shit? Like, sexually. Nope. Milkis how much would it cost to construct a large box capable of housing many (five) thousands of pounds of used DVDs? (random enough for you? lol.) Out of what material? What restrictions? if your name was milk is _____ what would you finish it with? milk is white milk is smooth milk is creamy milk is _____????? good? where do you get your drink on in korea usually convenience stores, but I normally don't drink Milkis in Korea (assuming you're referring to Milkis duh) do you find yakult tasty ofc What's your opinion on the current federal tax system. In particular, the personal income tax bracket structure, the future of the capital gains tax, and estate tax? Maybe if they used the money well I wouldn't mind the tax system so much (because then, you wouldn't need to tweak it so often and complain about the deficit). Ideologically I'm not a huge fan of how the federal income tax or the capital gains tax works right now, but that's all I can really speak of because I don't have any practical alternatives that will work in the current political system and within the deficit we have now. I don't know enough about the economic effects of estate tax to properly answer that portion. Basically call it a cop out answer because I haven't done enough reading regarding them since most of what I read relates to more micro/game theory related stuff

Ah, okay. Let me give a sketch of how I would approach it then. 1) WTS: Given any x_i and a_{i-1}, I can choose a_i such that x_i = |a_i - a_{i-1}| I think this is trivial? Just show given -1 < a_{i-1} < 1, you can choose a_i so you can make 0 < |a_i - a_{i-1}| < 1. That should be straight forward. 2) Since I started with a given a_{i-1}, I can choose a_0 to be whatever I want, so I just have to pick it to be - (a_n) after following that sequence I think there's one more thing to prove here since it doesnt really feel logically tight (ie I think I also need to prove that I can hit every sequence with a_0 + a_n = 0) but T_T second part i have no idea like i said and i don't wanna look up definitions atm why are you so angry There was a time where I wasn't angry. Then I moderated/contributed to Smogon for a long time and I got really angry at the stupidity in userbase/administration so it built up over time I guess. My rather hostile tone also comes from posting there a lot. But that could just be an excuse ^^; What is your favorite dance? The dance that roffles did not do yet > ![]() But uh, I don't remember being impressed by a lot of the dances by kpop groups and that's the only ones I remember atm. If i had to pick ridiculous maybe Yoo Seung Joon dancing or something loooool What's better? Fakesteve or Realsteve? I dont know who realsteve is so I cannot answer that question.

First of all, we're only given x_i's and we're suppose to produce a_i's in [-1,1] satisfying the two conditions mentioned. Second, even we interpret the problem as you have done, there are tons of examples of x_i and a_i's such that you can never rearrange a_i. For example, you're saying it's trivial to just choose a_n = -a_0, but then x_{n+1} can be such that x_{n+1} is *not* |a_n - a_0|. Oh I saw the other sentence. Anyway, I'm just trolling!! ^^ The post is from http://www.artofproblemsolving.com/Forum/viewtopic.php?f=36&t=364148

How are you? Just dandy :3, but a bit bored. Black Beans, scrambled egg and cottage cheese is delicious and filling. Agree/Disagree? Never tried. I'll try it sometime though. Did you smile today ? and why one of the things about me is that I'm always smiling, even when I'm supposedly "angry" on IRC. If I was to put a mirror in space, and look at it through a telescope on earth would I see the past? Please provide a mathematical proof with your answer. Errrr, I'm probably not qualified to properly answer but my intuition is It takes X time for light from the Earth to reach the mirror (ie, so by the time the image reaches the mirror, you'll see Present - X if you're in front of the Mirror) It takes X time for your telescope to reach the image of the Mirror, so by that time, there'll be Present - X + X, so you'll see the present? That sounds wrong but uh I think that's the best I can do for now. Quirky question though ^^; ragnarok online? what server and what class :D ya what ragnarok server were you playing? i was just playing lumina ro its pretty good Currently playing on veeeRO. Not a huge fan of the server but I already have an ice pick so I don't really want to leave yet. I've played at Essence, Eternity, and Destina though. Playing a WS and a HP

Do you watch anime or read manga? :3 Last anime I watched... I think I dropped Durarara, which I only watched cause it was made by the makers of Baccano. I haven't watched anything since. For manga I follow One Piece and Yotsuba& Why would it take time for my telescope to "reach the mirror" My telescope is just observing incoming light. If X was the time it took for light to get from earth to the mirror I think I would be seeing the past x2 because then the light from the mirror would have to travel back to earth. The impossible triangle being... free flow of capital, independent monetary policy, and.... what was the third? >.< gosh I suck at econ....

UChicago? Oh dang. What year? I'm an incoming freshman ^_^ I'll be a 4th year. I forwarded you to the uchicago SC club kekeke Will this thread be open after September 21? I'm sure I'll have plenty of questions then... Just ask me on IRC lol Will I ever meet my true love? Only after you get married. Ever had Indian food?Did you like it? I dont think I had REAL indian food though, just fake ones at random indian equivalent of fast food i think.... Maybe i'll try a proper restaurant sometime :O EDIT: as for Milkis "best snack?" Sweet Potato Cakes <3 What are your thoughts on exchange rate regimes in developing countries? There's a lot of research showing that soft pegged rates help developing countries stay afloat and manage the Impossible Triangle, yet an increasing number of countries are shifting towards hard pegs. Are bipolar rates really a valid theory anymore? And politically (sorry for throwing a hardball), what would you use to convince a stable, industrialized market that they should switch to a float? Not familiar with the subject. But, I'll be taking the course this upcoming quarter so I can tell you about it after that ^_^ What is a simple yet effective way to brush up on korean as an american-born korean? I'm at the level where normal books are too hard for me to read since they don't use 'speaking' korean much and it's huge blobs of text. (studying for Korean SAT II) Kids books, really. Read like comic books or translated manga. You can get them quite easily and download it quite easily. Or you can read more elementary books, cause that's all you need. Korean SAT IIs are worthless if you're Korean though, I don't think it's worth taking... Should take something else. favorite k drama? Currently Watching 김탁구, as LID8's suggestion. I liked it at first but now i'm just like "argh" since the show has the most stubborn characters ever I don't really have a favorite kdrama though, i only watch one every now and end.

are you female or male? male. what RO? veee http://www.teamliquid.net/blogs/viewblog.php?topic_id=150050¤tpage=3#57 Best pokemon? Favorite TL mod? Number of fingers I'm holding up? Answer wisely.. Togekiss, Manifesto, middle finger? heh yeah i heard that too, but seeing how like 95% of test takers are korean anyways, might as well. If i get like under a 760 im just not going to submit my score >_< That's like one question wrong haha any book recommendations you would give someone trying to learn Korean? or tips / online guides you've seen? anything at all? :D im using Mango, since its paid for by the libraries, but it only goes up basic. Maybe "Crazy as Me" By Boxer? You can look at the english translation too and see where you're going wrong. As for learning Korean I recommend just immersion, TV Shows, Music, etc. are you even a member of the club? lol Only if they do bw stuff oh wait bw is dead fml How long do you think BW will last? (Relative, absolute, etc.) Are you truly going to answer that question? At this point? "Depends" on negotiations, how the court rules, etc etc etc. Even then I think many fans are pissed off at this point to the point where BW doesn't have that much longer since I'm pretty sure a lot of fans feel like me and is just completely disillusioned about this entire thing.

how do i get over the breakup with my girlfriend? Figure out what caused it, and use that as drive to make yourself a better person. If you read some of my answers I don't really have a real answer to this question, but that's probably how I would (try) to approach it -- figure out what kind of things caused the relationship to break apart and see and change if needed.

What's your rank on ICCUP? You're taking economics at the U of Chicago right? How rigorous are the courses? How competitive is the school? Do you ever go party it up in the Chicago night life? Cubs or White Sox? Have you heard of South Barrington? Do you know any economic professors/teachers in Minneapolis? X_X Have you done any research yet? If so, any publications? :D What's your favorite genre of books? Your favorite history class? Favorite class in High School? Favorite class in College? Can you cook? If so, what's your best dish? what? you are still playing RO? any recommendation of good servers (low rate and many ppl)? Uh, I don't think there's a good low rate i'd recommend playing. maybe eternity when it restarts again? (they wipe every year and a half or so iirc?) Favorite english dubbed anime..? Cowboy Bebop Do you still play SC:BW? What's your rank on ICCUP? Yes. http://www.iccup.com/starcraft/gamingprofile/Tangerine.html I'm bad and I don't play as often as I should lol You're taking economics at the U of Chicago right? How rigorous are the courses? How rigorous the classes are solely depends on the classes you choose to take. You can get away with the ezpz courses that basically teach you nothing, or you can take the hard quantitative/math based courses. You'd think such approach is silly but honestly it helps you build the intuition quite solidly. How competitive is the school? To get in? This was the only college I applied to so I don't know. Within? I barely studied and I have a passable GPA at this point I think Do you ever go party it up in the Chicago night life? Cubs or White Sox? Have you heard of South Barrington? Nope. I don't like parties. And I stopped following baseball T_T. Nope, never heard of South Barrington. Do you know any economic professors/teachers in Minneapolis? X_X I do not. I do remember one of my professors criticizing U of M for their criticism of some thing in econometrics, that's about it though... Have you done any research yet? If so, any publications? :D Just an undergrad ;p. I'm a research assistant, but I haven't done anything resembling research, just the dataset creation part through programming mostly x_x What's your favorite genre of books? Whatever Coelho and Marquez would fall under, I guess. Your favorite history class? I haven't taken a real history class, but I like Roman History and the rotk period in chinese history Favorite class in High School? AP statistics and AP calculus Favorite class in College? Human Capital Can you cook? If so, what's your best dish? When you go home, what is the favorite thing your parents make? I cook a little. I think I can make a pretty good Kimchi Stew ;p I like my mom's 깐풍기 which is like a boneless fried chicken dish Jaedong or Flash? Stork or Bisu? Boxer or Yellow? Lomo or Backho? Jaedong Stork Yellow Backho Firefox, Chrome, IE, or other? Chrome. What are you planning to do for your senior thesis? I had *a lot* of ideas but none of them panned out because I had trouble getting the data sets I would have needed to. Right now I'm wondering what is feasible or not and I would probably need to talk to a few professors. I have this idea about an interpretation of Keynesian economics using neoclassical framework with PMI, but i dunno How much math have you taken? Inquiry based honors calc, and analysis. Also, does the econ undergrad head really have a temper like they say he does? Victor Lima is awesome. He doesn't have a temper, you're probably thinking of the other econ undergrad head, and I have some "omg she's so mean" stories about her but I rather not share on an internet forum Do you plan to go to private sector after graduating or perhaps academia? Ideally I want to work for about 2 years before continuing grad school. I might also go for a masters in Statistics inbetween. Also, have you met or at least seen Steve Levitt (on campus perhaps)? Yup. I've seen him at a lecture he gave and on one of the grad school seminars I attended. I'm honestly not a fan of Levitt. Why do people still thing modern interpretations of Keynesian economics work? Everytime there's a depression and people find out we did something wrong in the economy people get depressed and disillusioned and start bringing Keynes up as a glimmer of hope. Keynes will never die. he did have a lot of cool ideas though, and tbh the idea he was basing his theory off from will always come back and will come back stronger in the future as we understand more and more. Do you have a driving license? Yup! Took me two tries cause the first time i drove on the wrong side of the road ^^;;;; Will you sign my mousepad? sadly not

Probably not, though linear algebra is really a part of abstract algebra (module theory over fields). Most of linear algebra stuff you'll ever need for most other fields are already contained in first one or two intro courses to it, and arguably you only need to know jordan canonical forms (over algebraically closed field, but in industry "algebraically closed field" means the field complex numbers ^^). In other fields, you will only be using them computationally also (no need to prove the important results), so even taking a full fledged course in real analysis may be overdoing it. No one except mathematicians care about constructions of continuous nowhere differentiable functions, non-constructive proofs (baire-category), and the need for things like lebesgue integral (all the functions you encounter in real life are riemann integrable anyway!)

And the econ questions (first-year PhD student at George Mason here, so this'll be good to get a perspective from a place with very different intellectual leaning as a department than GMU): How do you feel about the use of economic thinking as an interdisciplinary approach to the rest of the social sciences? As I am bored I decided to comment on this ![]() In macroeconomics there are two schools. 1. New Keynesians 2. Neoclassical Both are rather prominent but these days actually New Keynesian school seems stronger. What is different between this modern Keynesian Theory and the previous one is the focus on micro-foundations. Keynesian Economics as used in 50s and 60s of last century was looking only into aggregates and did not model at all individuals. After Lucas's and Friedman's critique as well as the 70s stagflation Economists came to the conclusion that one can't understand aggregate economy without carefully modelling individual choices. This killed Keynesian economics at that time but in 90s it came back. Only this time it was carefully modelled using micro-foundations. The starting point of the analysis is the same as in the neoclassical case. There is an individual who chooses how much to consume, work and save. On the other hand, there are firms and each of them chooses how much to hire of labor, how much of capital to rent and how much to produce. At this point both school take different approaches. In the New Keynesian models there will be different types of frictions, labour frictions, pricing frictions or wage-setting frictions all of which are absent in the neoclassical analysis. To be honest, as I see it, only uninformed people keep bringing Keynes during bad times. In academia his ideas are alive. The thing with Keynes and his ideas is that he never formulated them formally. While most of them sound plausible it is hard to model them. They are also opened to new interpretations. Finally, all that current recession really taught Economists in academia is the role of financial friction and information in macroeconomics. Before these two were neglected. Obviously, they were explored before (famous model by Kyiotaki and Moore 1997 or another famous model by Bernanke Gertler Gilchrist 1998 just to name two most famous) but most of Economist thought that these are not crucial to get a big picture of the economy. For the layman it might sound stupid now but if you actually looked at the models without those extra features they were already super complicated and rather intractable. And what's the value of the answer given to you by a computer when you don't understand why this is the answer or even if it is correct. Moreover, these models were missing other features deemed realistic and there was fierce battle which one should be next one to be incorporated into the mainstream model. Now, it seems clear that financial frictions shouldn't be neglected and one can only wait for the huge amount of models constructed that will incorporate them. But my bet it is that most of them will be in New Keynesian style. Anyway, I guess I killed enough time writing this so I can go to bed ![]()

Econ and finance graduate programs usually recommend linear algebra and sometimes real analysis, but I've never seen abstract algebra as a prereq. Sorry Milkis for hijacking your thread a bit... I have never seen abstract algebra being used anywhere in Economics. And I am doing mostly theory these days. Some concepts from Algebra are used when you learn other useful maths for Economics (like Functional Analysis) but you can easily live without taking a course in it. On the other hand Real Analysis is at the heart of Economics. As Robert Lucas once said: "Economic Theory IS Mathematical Analysis." In any Ph.D program you will really need analysis. And if you want to do theory then you should become very fluent in it. As a rule of thumb for Economics, the more Analysis you take (and maths in general) the better. Obviously, given limited time you should only take the courses which are the most useful and Introductory Real Analysis is the most useful. To be honest, I found that knowledge of Real Analysis helped me the most during my first years of ph.d.

Is there any chance in your opinion that the Blizzard/Kespa drama will be resolved in a way that leaves the Brood War scene intact? It's already not intact. The drama has, already killed most of the hype. Unless Blizzard KeSPA works together, BW scene will be on a steady decline.... chances of BW being saved? Very, Very, little. How well can you tell the difference between an honest and a fake smile? I actually assume most smiles are not genuine (ie, used because of social conventions or to prevent social awkwardness). I think smiles are the best masks that people use to hide their thoughts. Genuine smiles only come after certain events. Usually, you can tell at that point. can I be your friend? Maybe after I get to know you better! Coffee or Tea? Tea, by a considerable margin. I drink both frequently though. Do you enjoy all this attention? Usually whenever I get people to ask me questions I appreciate the questions that make me reflect on myself and get me to think. Infer from that what you want I guess. Wrote my post to kill some time. Nothing deep there And my main field is macroeconomics so I like to talk/write about it Ah, Okay :3 I like talking about certain parts about macro but eh. Maybe I"ll talk to you to get a second opinion about my thesis idea :3 Robert Lucas or John Maynard Keynes? Milton Friedman or Edmund S. Phelps? Macroeconomics or Microeconomics? Keynes. They're both revolutionaries that changed the field of macro, but I think Keynes was the one "started" the question that we're still trying to answer today, and I think in the future, we'll be going to a more application based Econ than a theory based econ. You divided macro to neoclassical and new keynesian -- i choose to divide it into application and theoretical. Application based econ, which I consider Keynesian to be part of, aims to apply what we know to steer the economy in a certain direction. Theoretical is where I put the neoclassical school, since it argues that "you can't steer it cause you don't understand the full consequences" yet. I think Keynes was the one who literally started the idea of actually applying theories in reality to fix problems and try to steer the economy. Friedman. I don't think I need to justify myself here ;p Microeconomics. Macro is just applied Micro (hi5 lucas). Micro is a lot more interesting since you can apply it to a lot more things and create and have actual testable theories (since most of the time it doesnt have to deal with the bs political systems). I also like the topic Micro has been going on nowadays which is revisiting some of the assumptions and trying to build a better utility theory. It's really interesting although I think a lot of people have incorrect perceptions of price theory/utility theory and math based econ in general T_T

I think this had been asked, but I'm too lazy and tired to find it, so: how old are you and what university/school do you go to? ;X I'm 22, and I go to the University of Chicago Say you're driving along in your car which can hold only two people at a time, it's pouring rain outside, and you happen to come across a bus stop where you not only see your best friend in the whole world, standing there (whom you haven't met in AGES), but also the man/woman of your dreams (you know this instinctively!), and an elderly lady who has just collapsed and is in need of dire medical attention. What do you do? Let's put it this way -- if they haven't called an ambulance already (ie, apathy), then he wouldn't be my best friend and I would not care for the "woman of my dreams" since I'm not interested in people like that. i really want to ask this, what does kimchi taste like? can you give me descriptions based on it being sweet, sour, salty bitter and spicy? im very curious on that dish cause i havent tasted it yet and i want to taste it yet i cant buy it here. Sour and Spicy. How sour is it depends on how long it's been fermented. Think of fermented/pickled foods, and you should a good idea what kind of sourness is in there. - fav Kpop girl group? - fav Kpop boy group? - fav Korean variety/reality show? (ex: infinity challenge, 1박2일, we got married, etc.) Actually, I'm going to go ahead and assume you love kpop. so- - fav SNSD member? you can list them in descending order if you want lol - MIN OR SUZY (Miss A) I don't think I have a kpop girl/boy group.... maybe Big Mama if they count since they can actually sing ^^;; Boy groups? Uh, no. they scare me. Korean variety show? I like 무한도전 but it's very hit or miss since sometimes it's boring and sometimes it's amazing. Other than that, I'm not a huge fan of variety show nowadays, especially since well, they suck now ;p I don't have a favorite SNSD member or Miss A member, most korean girl group members are so plastic that they look the same and act the same The answer was 탈춤. ♥ 탈춤 is a lifestyle, not a dance. How dare you. Wanna play BW sometimes? I'm really bad too. Sure, Just ping me on IRC or PM on forums. What's your favorite fast food joint? I wouldn't say I have one... but I do avoid Burger King for the most part. What's your opinion on the 2010 Congressional elections? Politics zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz How long do you think this recession will last? Technically? It's over. If you mean "back to how it was in 2006"? I would say it'd take a long time for us to go back to a time period like that. I've heard recently about the idea of a "risk" tax; what is your opinion about that? Do you believe we should have a market to decide the value of such taxes? (Via shares and such) Do you believe the gov't should try to find the value of such a tax through applied economic data? Or do you believe it is If highly paid wall street people who makes billions of dollars just by quantifying risks and dealing with it can't deal with risk properly then there's zero chance the government could ever do anything like that, period. If you're gonna have a market to decide the value of a tax, then why would you have a tax at all? The government is nice and all but it's not gonna outdo a highly competitive and incentive filled industry such as finance. What TV shows do you watch? Favorite one? 무한도전 on saturdays, 1박2일, 영웅호걸, Running Man on Sundays, 놀러와 on Mondays, 황금어장 on Thursday, 스펀지 on Fridays. They're all Korean shows hahaha. If i had to pick a favorite it'd be 무한도전. Do you play SC2? Nope! Maybe now that it's 40 dollars i'll consider buying it but probably not for a long time. Do you plan to ever get a Ph. D in economics? In the eventual long run, yes. I plan on teaching economics in the long run. What's the best moment of your life? Why? I don't think I can think of a single best moment -- although one of the time period when I was happiest was during my trip in China and we were in Beijing back in 2008. I was just really happy the entire time there, I'm not even sure why, haha Do you have an accent when speaking English? I can't pronounce anything with "th" in it. ^^ Do you have long hair or short? :D Short atm. I do grow out my hair, but not to anything people will consider long. Long for guys standards probably ;p

So since you watch 무도, I'm guessing that you watched WM7 from today? (well, yesterday KST) Yeah I did! Man, it's really... 안쓰러워 =ㅁ=... I can't really think of another word to describe how I felt. I didn't like the wrestling thing at first but near the end I really got into it mostly because they were trying so hard. I hope they never do anything like that again. Oh and the commentators looool "If you fall for it thee times, you're an idiot!" (sup Yellow) Cynthia or Lance? Lance is a far better champion ezpz Oh, assume that the rain is so strong that their cell phones aren't working, and that they know the nearest hospital is too far away to reach by foot. Again, if they're not already helping the elderly woman, the same applies ![]() Assuming of course, it is the woman of my dreams, she would accompany me to the hospital to make sure the elderly woman is alright. Duh. I'd use this and laugh about it with my best friend after you know ;p If he's my best friend he'd understand~ Have you tried melon milkis? I just tried it and it was awesome. Anything melon is awesome.. Do you think so too? lol I did try it! I like the flavored milkis flavors. I hear russia has a lot more flavors and I'm dying to try them... one reason to go to russia i guess (lol soft drink pilgrimage) I've had some bad melon flavored things before though ![]() What race do you play in SC and why? Zerg. I don't actually know why I chose Zerg. I just chose it I guess.... Terran seemed like a cheater race and I hate Protoss hotkeys Will you be my friend? Maybe after I get to know you better? :p LOL me too. When I say Earth it sounds like eurf. My -th turns into a f . For me it's just a hard t. So when I say "Math" people here "Matt" :| Sure. + Show Spoiler [no lose :3] + Supposedly, the "no-lose" situation is to ask your best friend to take the old lady to the hospital in your car while you wait with your soul mate for the bus <3

Blue/Gary or Silver? Blue/Gary although I think his name is Green. I never liked Silver. (Assume that all of their meticulous and careful efforts to help her have failed, and she is in a coma, etc.....you know what, just assume that you get to the bus stop just as the lady collapses all of a sudden for no reason >n<") Haha, sorry for making it so complicated. My answer would be the same regardless. Milkis: Apparently, someone from fomos also pointed out that 전용준 was yelling out 폭풍 during the casting LOL. I need to re-watch the episode to check o

Dog or cat? I kinda like them both. I like dogs because they're "dependable" (so obv i'm talking about big dogs and not poodles or pugs or those critters), and I like cats because they're kinda mysterious. when will i see you come to chicago and when will i see smix Go to college in NY How was the fancy restaurant? Worth the money? Ended up being about 50 dollars for mushroom/snail pasta + scallops/pork tenderloin + cherry beignets/sour cream ice cream. It was really different from what I'm used to so I enjoyed it. I honestly think it's like the polar opposite of the philosophy behind Korean food -- since the dishes tried to "bring out" each ingredient while you're cooking so you can enjoy each taste as you eat a dish, but in korea you sort of merge all the ingredients and end up in a united flavor (for each side dish) and pick and choose the flavors you want with rice. It was a really good experience i think. no plans to go back yet, but i probably will in the future ![]() do you like more asian girls or white girls and why ? I get sick of how white girls look after being exposed to them for about an hour, whether it be celebrities or actresses or whatever. I don't know why that is. I can go "oh she's pretty" an hour before and by the end i'm like "ewww disgusting by the end" so I think i'm hardwired to prefer asians. I also probably have a weird taste in asian girls though too how old are u ? 22

-where do you want to work in the future ? will it be e-sport or some more society acceptable kid of work ? Ideally I want to teach something at a university level -- Economics? Statistics? Who knows. E-Sports? Maybe if the opportunity arises and if I'm in a position to help make changes, then I'd definitely consider it. -what planet is you favorite ? Earth. It's the only one I've been to ^^; -your starsight (probably spelling fail) No idea what you mean :O -MCdonnald, KFC or Subway ? After 4 years at University I'm absolutely sick of Subway. I do like McDonald's dollar menu burgers though :3 -what is better Korea or USA and where you want to rise your children and why ? USA for sure. I don't like a large portion of Korea's culture, even though US also has its own share of problems. Korea is a fun place to visit and live when you're just having fun, but I think it's a terrible place to settle in. -steelseries or razer, LG or Samsung ? I still use my HP Mouse and a Microsoft Keyboard I got from work ;p too poor to be picky about brands. -do you prefer leaving in the city or village ? They both have their up and downs. A city is far less risk than a village though, since villages can be utterly boring or just terrible depending on the people/industry/etc. If I can find a good village though, I'd pick the village in a heartbeat. -football, hockey or basketball ? Basketball is the most fun to watch out of those. -and also i forgot to asked in my last post what about Afro-American girls ? I don't think I've ever found an Afro-American girl attractive or even pretty or cute. Yeah, it is. Just calling him by the name most people use. I think I'm still the only person who prefers Silver. :/ If Silver had another game, maybe. I like Green because you get to talk to him in GSC and figure out how he has changed since then. If Silver had the same opportunity, I'm sure a lot more people would like him -- but the game just "ends" as he finally realizes why his style doesn't work out. We don't see an "Improved" silver -- just disappears after he realizes.
