Anyway I'm actually pretty new to the Starcraft 2 or better said the Starcraft community in general. I come from the Warcraft 3 (still am) community where I have done news writing for myMYM, GosuGamers and now for Team EG and WCR. I was never really into SC and following the Korean scene but there were times I used to tune in an watch SC streams, ESL mostly even though it's German <_<. Believe it or not I was a huge fan of Dreiven (Polish Protoss) back when he was in MYM and he was the only SC player I actually tried to follow his results. His upset against Mondragon at the first TSL was for me like the best moment watching Starcraft. You guys will probably laugh and say "<_< this guy hasn't seen top SC games yet" but who cares
I started getting into it the SC community sometime after the SC2 beta started (like everyone else), when all the tournaments started rolling in and have been following it ever since. I think Starcraft 2 is heading in the right direction in terms of esports outside of Korea but there are still things that could be better such as more solo/team leagues, less invitationals and better coverage from news sites. Right now, it's not that I have to because I work for them, but I'm a really big fan of EG.SC2. They are just awesome every single one of them and when they defeat TeamLiquid when everyone though it was going to be a clear 10:0 for them, was just awesome. But overall I'm pretty glad to be part of this community.
EG vs. gw - http://myeg.net/article/article_detail.php?article_id=842
Yesterday EG played against a Brazilian team known as GameWise MultiGaming at SGLeague. I have personally never heard of any of the players from their team except for Levin, who used to play WC3. We were pretty skeptical on how they would play. Even though EG won 4:1 I didn't think they were that bad, they just weren't that good. Like they know what they want to do and have the right idea but it just doesn't translate when they play. But hopefully we see them improve for the future. EG's next opponent in their group will be Quantum Gaming. They defeated vT in their first match so this could be a pretty good clan match.

The second playday of the EPS Germany is being played today. I am hoping that the matches will be less one-sided than they were last week but just looking at the matchup it doesn't seem like that will happen. According to GosuGamers Cloud vs. Goody is suppose to be a grudge match over some dumb thing that happened during Brood War that Cloud is still emotionally emo about. But I'm hoping that some of the players have stepped up their game.

EPS Nordic - ESL page
There are a lot of well known player participating in this league who used to play Warcraft 3, which is one of the reason I'm personally excited for this. It's to see how well they have transitioned from one game to the game. Ciara, Sein, Satiini, Skutt, ThorZain are all former WC3 players. Ofcourse there is Madfrog and SjoW but we know them already. MorroW is obviously the favorite going into this league but we'll just have to see throughout these 13 playdays how he does.
The two games that will probably be good based off recent results is Satiini vs. SjoW and Ciara vs. Naama. Not sure if they will stream though.
If you made it this far, congratulations. Hope you enjoyed the blog and hopefully you'll be seeing more from me. In the meantime go watch LzGamer's stream.
