Just thought I'd make this blog for fun, cause I'm in a shitty mood and waiting for Supreme Commander to finish downloading. Anyway:
These types of youtube comments are really annoying to me. I don't care enough to actually get angry, but yea, they're kinda irritating and extremely stupid. Note most of the pertain to music videos, because that's mainly what I use youtube for.
1. Justin Bieber
This is by far the most ridiculous. Why does just about every single music video I watch on youtube have at least 2 Justin Bieber comments per page? These comments are everywhere, on every type of music I search, whether its rock, prog rock, metal, jazz fusion, etc etc. It's ridiculous, you hate him but you're only adding to his fame. On top of that it's completely irrelevant. No1 cares about how much deeper the music you listen to is compared to him.
Justin biebr can go fuck himself, this is real music
2. I'm only __, and I love ______
Musical elitism. The kid states how young he is, and the fact that he listens to this kind of music and not mainstream music. Woot! Again, no1 cares. You're not better because you think your taste in music is better. You're a fan of the band? Awesome! It doesn't make it any more awesome that you're young, and you're not the last hope of this generation.
I'm only 13 and I love pink floyd its so much better than that rap music all my friends are obsessed over.
3. __ People missed the like button
...or "__ people don't know real music". Again, musical elitism. Some1 isn't stupid because he doesn't share your taste in music. Why does everyone that disagrees with you have to have missed the like button? Maybe they just don't like the song.

4. Thumbs up if _____________________
These are stupid more than they are annoying but still, worth listing. Basically an obvious attention seeking move, naming something obvious that most people watching the video are likely to agree with in hopes of getting your name on the highest rated comments. I find its attention whoring more than anything else.

5. Overreacting
People take things too seriously sometimes and get mad at people who simply think differently. Heres an actual comment on "Children of the Sea", a song im listening to right now:

6. Knee jerk reactions
When I disagree with something, or state an opinion outside of the norm (for that video), why does everyone assume the worst / most generic insult in me? I don't like Ozzy's singing, and when I say that the response is usually "he's a legend you prick, go back to listening to your goddam rap and pop bullshit". I say that TvZ is imbalanced in a youtube video, or that a particular game was boring, and I get "fuck you noob go back to playing Sc2 you just discovered the game yesterday and you think you can say something"

ha, yeah the bieber hate is annoying. youtube comments are just overall bad. im pretty sure 90% of those users would be banned on TL if they posted like that.

i try as hard as i can to just skim through the suggested videos without looking at 60iq kids talking about justin bieber

I miss the hide comments option that YouTube used to have... much easier to avoid spoilers on VODs and to avoid the rage... these days I zoom in on the page so that comments are no longer visible if I'm skimming a video or full screen.

Seriously i've posted a couple Youtube comments and there's something about the formatting on that website that makes everything written therein just appear stupid. No matter how educated you are the instant you post a comment on Youtube the IQ behind it's creation seems to drop 90 points.

I gave up on reading Youtube comments a long time ago in a galaxy far far away. It is a wretched hive of scum and villainy....

What do you expect, it's youtube. Most of those posts are coming from people at the bottom of the barrel. Reading youtube posts can only aggravate you.

What makes it worse is that people change it up a little. So instead of saying "People missed the liked button." they combine a couple of the annoying comments to produce something like:
"Justin Bieber came in here and pressed dislike 30 times. Thumbs up if you agree, bitches?!?!?!??!!!11"
Yeah.

I totally agree with all these points, it just shows the lack of any intelligence on YouTube. The cry for attention, or the missing the like button.

Lol I hate it when 13 year old kids try to fit into this musical niche by scratching the surface of classic, alternative, and indy rock. I mean I see why they'd want to distance themselves from a lot of Mainstream music, but stop bragging about it on youtube as if your the only one, cause your not...
