So with the onset of SC2, I'm sure more people are trying to get their girlfriends to join in on the fun. This is the furthest i got in trying to teach my gf how to play sc:bw . She sat down for a day and took notes as i taught her the basics, then she completely lost interest/gave up the next day claiming it was too hard -_-. I guess sc2 is easier to learn than sc:bw, but its too late now for me since my gf has already given up on sc. She's already too intimidated by it from her sc:bw experience

moral of the story: should teach your girlfriend sc2 and not bw or else they'll think the games too hard and wont ever want to try it again.

your doing it wrong, the best way is to have her play the campaign, or maybe some custom games =D, or do some 2v1 comp stomps, anything "fun"

i believe there have been several good players teach their gf bw, and it turned out good ( tot)ore(, neo)pink, lastlight)

but yeah sc2 is definately much easier xd

I did this with my ex, you have to ease them into it. Play some UMS like evolves or turret defence to get them interested, THEN hit them with the iccup server

This is so cute

When my gf wanted to learn bw I first tought her how to beat the comp, it gave her something to strive for. Since she played Zerg I told her to go 3hatch mass speedling or some hydra break. Easy to learn and she reached her goal to beat the comp as well

And what did you learn from this? Don't teach her like its a choir.

Just imagine if someone sat down with you and had you take notes on playing football without actually ever playing it. Not fun now is it? Just let her play the game, sit by her and instruct her CALMLY!
