That feature is just another one of those annoying, but braggable rights features reserved for the pokemaniacs. That and shiny pokemon.

I'm playing HeartGold right now, I couldn't stand the new music though. Once I got GB Sounds, I always turn that on.

You get both of them. I think he meant as the initial legendary flier. I'd rather get Lugia at lvl 45 instead of 70, just because he's more badass than ho-oh. Then again, ho-oh on level 70 is pretty worthless because he erases either sacred fire or fireblast, or both. I forget.

One of the things that fascinated me most about pokemon gameboy games was all the hidden cheats/rumors that circulated around the game. I'd like to share some with you to see how widespread they actually were... please excuse my forgetfulness of all things pokemon... it's been a while! #1 For those of us who played Blue/Red/Yellow... did everyone know about that rare-candy-dupe cheat swimming up and down the coast of some island(?). It involved finding some pokemon with a weirdass buggy graphic... thats all remember. #2 There was some rumor in Blue/Red/Yellow involving finding Mew in-game and having sex with Misty in her water gym LOL? Seriously, I heard this from many kids at my school and I'm still wondering how widespread it was... #3 There was a rumor in Blue/Red/Yellow for finding Mew. To this day, I'm proud of myself for personally dispelling this rumor, but I'm interested to see if you've heard of it... My pokemon memory is so vague... but I remember there being a cruise ship in Blue/Red/Yellow that you had to board. There was water around the dock-entrance to the ship, but you couldn't swim in it because, according to the natural progression of the game, you weren't supposed to have a pokemon with the 'swim' ability yet. The rumor says that you wait on boarding this cruise ship, go out of your way to learn 'swim', come back to the dock, swim around the ship behind it. There's supposed to be a small island with a truck on it. You use 'bash' on the truck and Mew is supposed to be under it. I tried this. To my surprise, there actually WAS an island with a truck way behind the ship! But I remember not being able to use 'bash' on it =( Good memories... do these rumors sound familiar to anyone but me? P.S. Did anyone play the gameboy "Pokemon Trading Card Game" game? Previously I had always collected the cards but never understood/cared about the actual trading card game. But they made a gameboy game that simulated the exact rules of the actual card game and I thought it was AWESOME.

I had never experienced problems doing this cheat. It worked everytime and was a super-cheap way to lvl up pokemon insanely fast. I actually remember being 10 years old... One night my family and I visited my 16 yr. old brother at the high school for some event. I was passing the time playing Pokemon on my gameboy. Some high school kid came up to me, took out his gameboy w/ pokemon in it, and we started talking gamer-to-gamer. I remembering teaching him the rarecandy dupe trick and he was so thankful. Later my brother said that kid was a geek and I shouldn't talk with him anymore o_O
