Hey, guys, I'm attending BCIT this September, and really want to start a team. I'm sure there are a ton of players there, so I want all you competitive-types to join-up so we can take-on the CSL! That, and it's just a great way to get together, meet new people and have fun! I'd like to get some in-school LANs and/or tournaments going throughout my stay at the school as well.
If there's already some underground SC team lurking and ready to pounce, lemme in on the secret club. Otherwise, POST HERE!

I'll be creating a site in due time, or a section on my main site, probably after the semester has started. Also, I'll be contacting CSL admins regarding school merging, but BCIT students are priority, so I'm going to wait and see if they fill the team first.

Good luck getting a team started! The more teams the better for CSL!  Just have to talk to a few people at BCIT, I'm sure lots of them play Starcraft 2

Shaskira, this is a University team for the Collegiate StarLeague (CSL), not just a regular team/clan. You would have to actually attend BCIT (Which I assume stands for British Columbia Institute of Technology) in order to be on the team. So not only would you have to be on the NA server, but you'd have to live in Canada and go to that school Kind of sucks how they did the region locking because now CSL is 100% limited to North America.

sad but true, CSL is 100% NA -.-
partly bc of the lag on the old iccup system. partly bc its hard to contact with EU teams from NA...
but some one should stand out and hold a league in EU though

We should be able to merge, like, Kwantlen, BCIT and Langara if not enough people at BCIT are interested. We'll see, though! I'm gonna make some posters and stick 'em around the school hahaha.

under really extreme cases we might allow merging, depending on your circumstances (like <3k students or something), but i wouldn't count on it really glad to see so many canadian schools representing! i was just thinking that we didn't have enough of them on the map.

A little update: any better players or players with leading experience are welcome to "lead" the team. I'm cool with just kind of being the "Manager" -- relaying with CSL and the individual players regarding scheduling; essentially, I just want the team to exist. :D
When I get the info letter CSL is sending out soon, I'll elaborate more on the formation of this team.

Can we inhouse tourney for the position? I'm sure there are more people qualified out there. I just don't want to outright say im the best one for the job (LOL, i wouldn't).
Edit: So the merging of BCIT, Langara, Kwantlen, is it a go or a no-go? I'm just not sure there's enough publicity out there for Kwantlen to get a team going. Which makes me

I'm waiting for the first newsletter thingy, which may elaborate on some of their guidelines. Up 'til now they haven't allowed it, but I hate seeing people not be able to participate, and I'm sure they could agree. I'll ask, and maybe we can get something going.

It's looking like we should be able to fill our rosters with BCIT people alone, so there will be no school merging (if they even allowed that.) I have a potential Goatrope, CheAse and Eternus joining, to stack the fuck out of our line-up XD If they don't want to join, it shouldn't be too hard to find others. We've already got two confirmed, and the above listed have all said they're open to the idea.

Awesome! Good to have you on-board, Chris. CheAse and Stevesy are also both now members of BCIT's Starcraft Sex Squad (TM). That's now a full five-person line-up! We just need a couple more players for some variety, pr to fill-in when someone can't show.

I think we need a way where we can discuss who's good at what and some strategies. Also, if you're comfortable with it, we should all definitely get to know each other :D (hurpdurp!)

Ok, guys, in order to be eligible to play I need you to change your cstarleague profiles so that your given e-mail is your BCIT.ca e-mail. Also, if you know any Platinum or Diamond players who aren't on the team and may be interested, let them know to join! We need a couple more!
I'm going to try and get a few posters up around campus to help, but we don't have much time left. GODSPEED.

I'm practically the only one who actively plays at BCIT unless people prove me wrong. I'm graduating this year so hopefully I can assemble the CSL team @_@

Ah, thats really unlucky. I'm there for another year, so it might just make sense to join the UBC club unless theres others who take the reign eh. Seeing as I haven't breached diamond yet or anything (Recently started SC2) I don't see myself in a position to lead BCIT, otherwise I'd try and revamp. For just in general starcraft purposes, is the UBC club the best one to join?

Yup UBC is the best club to join because it has the highest traffic although there aren't as many people actively posting.

I asked the Student Association about this Starcraft club and was told it's leaderless for now but there were no contacts or emails to talk to anyone else involved with Starcraft at BCIT so I took the liberty to join this Wednesday's(Sep 11) Clubazaar and host a table for Starcraft to gouge interest. If anyone wants to join me for that please leave me a PM here or on Bnet: Sherp(861).
P.S. Already joined the facebook group, and reserved a clan name within Bnet.
