Well with SC2 finally here sMi is back in full swing.
Currently our Protoss line looks good our Terran looks good but sadly our Zerg line-up is sadly... lacking so with that I am now looking for active Zerg users.
With that said let me give you a little background on sMi. In SC:BW we dominated leagues left right and center bringing up know names in all directions. Lastgosu, Stalife, Nero, Nony, and many many more. A majority of the top tier USA/Can players set foot in our family. In PGT we had many A-++ players including some names within the WCG circuit. We disdain cheaters and abusers caught doing so will result in a ban. We value a family oriented enviroment a large group of friends playing this game to get good together.
I've been with the team for over 3 years now and I will see sMi through to the end. If you wish to join we are looking for diamond players mostly Zerg but if your an exceptional player feel free to apply we are always looking for you.
Feel free to create an account on http://www.smiteam.net/ and await approval to post an application. The better the Application the better the chances of getting into the team.

We're basicly looking for 500+ diamond players, and are interested in ANY race, just right now we dont have many zergs so we are looking to add several zergs.

I'm going to sign up for this. Hopefully the way I play this weekend will help you decide if I'm good enough as I got placed in Platinum after losing a ZvZ in my 5th match. Most of the time I play diamond players in my matches and I'm 11-3 so far in platinum rolling people over.

Haha ya Jay is being a noob. Anyone is free to apply for our sc2 team, actually getting in like most high profile teams is another story sorry in advance to those that do not make it.
Diamond is the minimum if the recruiters and myself see potential than it's always nice to have them within the team so we can build. Thats why I say anyone can apply.
We are back to faceroll not just to chill I love seeing the ambition of players of all calibers. Even if you don't get accepted improve and try again later.

Damnnn, I was in IA-. I joined about a week before they split with sMi... or sMi split with IA-. Some IA- members were telling me how sMi. is full of gosus/"elite IA-s." Ever since then, I've always thought of sMi as this prestigious team. Wish you guys the best!

SCC's doing well. We're having our first tournament with Duke offering up some pretty nice swag. There's usually always like 4-6 people on vent playing SC2 nightly. Hopefully we can start having streamed events again soon like we did with BW.

If you don't like using lastgosu as an example of past gamers, how does Idra or nony sound? We are a very strong team determined to dominate the scene once again, this is a once ina lifetime chance to join the team as once we get set we're probably likely to close recruitment ( I'm sure exceptions will be made but you know what i mean ). And as for one of the posts asking the member count, we've got a ton of members (maybe like 20) that are pretty active currently, so there's ample opportunity for games and training.

I lost to lastgosu last year in wcg. I didn't know he was a cheater at all. He definitely didn't cheat during the wcg LAN he did well at though...

Lastgosu did cheat, but he didn't need to be a cheater to win which he proved by winning WCG USA. Now, someone like NerO probably should of cheated if he ever hoped to win.

Something important to mention here is that all of our members are good friends, we even had a big team road trip/campout a few years ago that involved many beers, many smores and a lot of park rangers :D Since then tons of our members have met up and gone to LANs/tournaments together and/or just hung out while traveling etc.
We are a competitive team and many of our members have a lot of talent but if you're a douche and not fun to play with you could be one of the best players around and still get kicked to the curb for being a douche (Example? IdrA) All of our members are extremely chill and a lot of fun to hang out with in vent, in game, at a bar or late at night when you just need someone to hold, err, well that's just Jay and sometimes Cody.

Actually we're working on that for when the new site is up and we're actively competing in the scene, but it's not really the most important thing for us. As a team having a sponsor has never been a top priority. sMi has always been family (team) first. If you started hanging out around all of us you'd understand that pretty quick. Hell, even just look through the forum and you'll understand that.

No - if you're a diamond zerg we'd love for you to apply. All applying does is let our recruiters know you're interested so they can check you out and decide whether to test or not. If they test you and they think you are good enough and fit in personality wise, then they'll invite you for a trial. Trial lasts until enough members think you're the right fit for the team (1-3 weeks).

lastgosu was caught cheating long before he joined sMi and had reformed before we event met him. After he joined the team I personally worked with him and other top teams to organize matches on places like PGT and eventually live LAN's where he pwn'd without any hacks. He won WCG USA while with sMi and obviously he wasn't hacking there. So yes, lastgosu did hack a LONG time ago but he proved himself to be legit and highly skilled. So I'm proud to mention him as a previous member cause his entire time as a member of sMi he was nothing but a honest, stand up guy.

Btw we've kicked everyone we've ever caught cheating. The names would be: Idra, Spades, KirA. That's all I can think of but all 3 were good players and all 3 hacked or cheated in some way and we kicked them for it. if lastgosu had cheated while on our team he'd have been kicked too, but he didn't and hasn't other than 1 time like 8 years ago. Kinda ridiculous to hold such a grudge on a guy who fucked up once and then went on to prove himself as reformed.

It was that fragbet league thing where Assem played under his ID. No big deal, but we're usually pretty gay about people getting caught cheating. Not that people don't deserve second chances, which is probably why a few special ex-members were kicked twice =P.
Definately the most fun I've ever had in a SC team - makes sense since I've been stuck with these guys for like 4 or 5 years. Kind of dates a guy.

All of our activity is on the NA server but no, we're not only a US clan. sMi.Support is Brazilian and sMi.ZaYo is Polish and we got some Canadians too I believe.
