Yup, if you can make your own or spice it up with some stuff (for example, mayo + honey mustard) it can taste very very good. It's one of the only places where you can actually customize the sandwich, because tomatoes, lettuce, and bacon are pretty standard. The bread is best as normal whitebread, because if you get some weird crap like ciabatta or a sub, it's just not the same... | ||

most of the fat comes off in the cooking process anyway the worst part about bacon is the sodium nitrate and other preservatives they put into it nowdays | ||

But yes, BLT's are a staple of my home. Mayo is definitive. However, the ranch idea sounds so great, that my taste buds are already clamoring. Actually, I'm thinking some basil leaves would make an awesome BLT too, but not too much, because I'm sure it would overpower everything. Man I think I have my sandwich for lunch planned out already. | ||
