I know many people from all over the place will be coming here to this area. I decided to try and help Diggity on this topic for Hotels/Carpooling. I cannot take anyone for personal reasons, but if you would like to talk about carpooling situations here, feel free.
Ok, as for hotels, they are quite a few around but they are all about 2 miles away from the tourney site.

Im traveling from San Antonio, Texas and I don't have a hotel yet or person to take me from my room but I do have my plane ticket! Just thought i would cab but i think one of my practice partners is attending.

hey silent, u might want to look up roadrunner, it's the ventura county transport for LAX to ventua county and visa versa

There is a nice transport service from LAX to Ventura and back called the Ventura County Airporter.

If you are willing to do a bit of walking you could even get to a city bus stop from where it drops off, which you should be able to take to Green Forest with 1 transfer at the Ventura Mall. (tell the driver you want to get to "Buena High School" cause that's right across the street.)

I live in San Luis Obispo California and I could use a ride! If not I will totally end up hitch hiking. If you are driving near SLO I will get a ride to a highway that you are passing by on!

Do I need to know anything about the area before I book? Like is that Motel 6 in a bad place, or is it really not that bad?

I personally don't think it's in a bad area of Ventura, but it IS a Motel 6, so no promises on safety ever.

went through hot deals for a 48$ a night hotel for 1 queen size bed its 49$ for 2 queens big money upgrade lol

I am flying in Friday with my old lady, we have a ride back to the airport, but as for the ride to the tourney, ours bailed out.... So as it stands we're flying in on Friday with no such way to Ventura, if worse comes to worse we can ride the "Amtrak" but really we would prefer a ride, gas $$ will be provided as well as lunch on us. Let us know so we can make plans and give flight info and times.

aReteMadison - Thought I'd throw this out there but I've been having some car issues and might need a ride to the Lan. If anyones got a seat or two and able to pass by Long Beach please PM me on TL!
