Don't worry about it I did the same thing and the surgery was painless. Then just get stoned on vicodin for a week and you'll be fine. It's more annoying then painful, playing with the stitches, food getting in the wholes, etc. I went to rugby practice the same day (no contact) the same day and didn't need to take off time from school or anything. Played in a full rugby game 5 days later which was prob not the best idea lol. If you're lucky you shouldn't swell up too bad.
its not as bad as people are making it sound. Just make sure you don't get infected or dry sockets.

The amount of pain and how long it takes varies by person.

But when I had all four of my teeth out they didn't knock me out (just numbed the shit out of my mouth and let me listen to my ipod) and then handed me each tooth as they went. After 2 hours of so when my mouth wasn't numb anymore the pain wasn't anything too terrible. I didn't take the pain meds they gave me and wish I hadn't wasted the money filling that perscription.

By day 2 I was eating normally again with hardly any pain.

Although, I have had friends who have taken weeks to recover and complain of horrible terrible insane pain and are downing pain killers like candy.

Different for everyone, So I hope yours is an easy recovery!

mm..it's been about 7 months since I got my four wisdom teeth removed..and my lower left jaw is still numbish from the procedure. I guess they did one up on me!

I just got mine out earlier this summer. I was a bit nervous at the time too, but I was surprised at how easy and painless it was. Glad to hear that it went well; enjoy your Vicodin and SC replays!

heya,

got my wisdom teeth out earlier in the year, all 4 of the buggers... puked like there was no tomorrow for ~20 minutes coming around from being knocked out... that was nasty, blood and vomit everywhere... sounds like you missed out on that, lucky bugger

some advice, dont watch comedy shows.... baaaaaaaaad idea... anything that makes you smile/laugh, stay away from!
as long as you dont move your jaw, you'll be fine, i found that mine just ached rather than hurt (if that makes sense?) and as long as i wasnt moving my jaw around, it wasnt too bad
hope all goes well with no complications!

edit: took me ~2-3 days before i could eat things like pasta/fish, but after a week i got stuck into a nice steak, 10 days after it all, was at a comedy festival
it depends alot on how bad your teeth were initially as to how long it takes

i got 4 out at once with general anesthesia. i remember getting injected passing out and waking up after the procedure was over. i took one pain killer and then forgot to take more cause it didnt hurt. don't worry about it!

I actually enjoyed my surgery. The put the laughing gas on me and I started to get high then they poked me with the needle to set up my IV and I was like EHHHH I DONT LIKE THAT IV then the surgeon was like just take some deep breathes, so I did. Then I was like MMMM I LIKE THIS LAUGHING GAS and he was like you're on a lot more than laughing gas now and then I remember thinking "I'm high as fuck" and then I passed out, woke up still pretty sedated with my head all bandaged up and then it was a couple weeks of oxys and np. I didn't really ever feel a lot of pain even when my oxys ran out. The worst part for me was the hunger, eating eggs and slimfast got annoying pretty quick. If you have someone to make a lot of soft food for you then it should be ez. Also the left side of my face swelled like 3x bigger than the right side so I was afraid something fucked up but it went away and everything healed fine so if that happens don't freak yourself out.

hope your procedure went as well as mine, i had 4 removed earlier today and it really isn't that bad. i have a bottle of vicodin here and i haven't even had to take one, the pain really isn't bad at all, just a little sore.
